dad's having surgery  |

 I went to see my dad early this morning only to get a shock. he was now in the ICU. Seems he has many stones in his gall bladder. One or more may have passed through his bile etc etc. Details will be spared. But I just returned a few minutes ago from the hospital again and he is scheduled to see a surgeon soon and will be going in got removal of his gall bladder. then they say at least one week in rehab to assit him getting back on his feet with walking etc. So more prayers and still needed for him and especially for me in this stressful time. I'll be here for a bit then back to the hopsital. It's only a few miles away so I can visit the mandated 15 minutes then return for an hour and go back withoput much exspense etc. I wish to thank each and every member that has been praying for him and the rest of us here. the prayers are greatly needed as well as greatly appreciated. Thanks again friends na dothers here. This means so much to see all the warmth, well wishes, and prayers coming from this site.

I'm heading back to the Hospital after a few responses here in this discussion. Thanks for the prayers as well. Means so much to me and dad.

My husband and I have both had our gall bladders removed and went through the surgery well but we are not as old as your dad. It seems when someone's in the hospital that things seem to change quite rapidly at times. As far as gall bladder surgery it's not as bad as it sounds, I had it done in 1980 and I was so scared and never felt so all alone in my whole life but it went well and your dad will feel much better after it's all done. Anyone having had gall bladder attacks will support me when I say the pain is something out of this world. I have sad prayers for you and I will continue to do so. Guess you can tell my stress level is fine and I am back to my old funny humorous self. The amazing thing about the support is that a lot is also from members not on my list and very sincere as well.
