What Do You Really Use Your Garage For?  

Much to my dismay......my husband keeps his collector Mustangs in it. If I need to park my car, I have to do it in one of our sheds...no automatic doors and no concrete. This has been an issue for years with me, but I guess if he wants his babies, he gets his babies.

Well, I don't have a garage. But I do live in one. My landlord has a detached garage. The bottom portion is a gym, which his wife never uses, and his office because he owns a painting business as well as rents out houses. The top portion was turned into an apartment originally for his son. However, once his son was married and had a child, he rented it out to people he knew. My parents used to rent a house from him right next door so that's how I got to know him.

It seems more people use garages for things other than cars these days!

we have no garage at this house but a car port that parks 2 cars and we have 4 cars good thing we have a long driveway

The home I live in has a two-car garage attached to the house. Nobody in my family has ever parked a car in the garage in the 6 years we've been living their. Instead the garage has been converted into a laundry room / storage room. There is an extra fridge in there along with a ton of boxes full of decorations, childhood momentos, china/glass and cookbooks. At the moment the entire space looks like a tornado tore through it. When the weather gets cooler I'll get in there and straighten up.

And what's wrong with that? I think you are making good use of the space you have. You car goes in the garage and hubby can keep his junk outside? Is that how it goes?

We use to have a garage at our last house and used it for storage. We always parked our car outside. And let me tell you it was packed to the ceiling with stuff.LOL

Garage is for parking owned cars. But sometimes it can also be an extention of your lounge. A place for your plants in pots, pets on their houses, playground for your kids, or simple a place to stock up other things and appliaces which your house could not longer contend. But others used it as a place for rest especially when they are relaxing while watching television, reading books, or simply having a cup of coffee.

We have a one car garage, but knowing that we usually stack things in it, made it big enough to accommodate our Jigsaw, deck chairs, garden equipment, regular saw, ladder, weed racker, old toilet, old Propone Barbecue, plus various and sundry items. We even got a lamp, plus old welding equipment from when my husband worked as a welder.

We also have a wheelbarrow and I think there is a box of carrots there somewhere. So you never know what you will find in our garage.

We have a 3 car garage, but I could not fit a car in there..There are moorbikes, lawnmowers, garden , tools and the list goes on..
