I will be absent from My Lot due to my 50th Birthday Party!  |

|  My 50th birthday is on Sunday, however it is more convenient to have my party on Saturday night.
So, most likely, I will not be online all day tomorrow, & maybe not much on Sunday either.
There are 30 people coming to my party. It is being held at my home, out the back under the pergola.
There is so much preparation to do tomorrow. Make two salads, set up 4 tables outside, make sure the house is clean (which it wont be), then go to Coles & the cheesecake shop to pick up the platters & cheesecakes I ordered.
My husband is cooking three roasts on the weber, pork, turkey & chicken.,
The kids are so excited. They are putting up balloons, & my 9 year old step daughter will make a punch drink, & my 14 year old daughter is making these fancy jellies.
Anyway, all of you have a nice weekend & I will be back online on Monday.

| |  That's what I say as well. I would not let my wife do things for the party. I'd do them all myself if I had to. She needs the day off to celebrate not get the party ready etc.

| | First off Happy Birthday. But now hold on a second, It's your birthday party and you have to make the salads and set up tables? I would not allow you to do anything in this area as it's a party for you. I hope you don't have to claen up afterwards as well. Ugghh! I feel personally the family should do all the party setting up, cooking, and cleaning for you. But that's just the type of man I am. Once again....

| | Thats kind of you to say, but there is no way I expected Dave & the kids to do everything. I ordered a lot of food, but choose to make two salads (easy ones), & Dave cooked three roasts.
We had to organise the drinks table, the food table, etc. As it turned out, the organisation thru the day went very well, but it was more work at the actual party.
Not to say that the crashing bird cage incident & my naughty nephew had an impact too. Will tell all in a discussion tomorrow.
