It does seem very magical in nature to me too. It seems that no matter what's going on in my life or how worried I am about something, just putting on that necklace helps.

Anything is magical that offers us comfort in the way that this necklace does for you.

I'm completely relieved to know that your mum didn't carry a live cat in her purse, although I have to admit the contents of my purse have been questionable on more than one occasion. I'm just trying to remember whether any of those contents were alive and breathing. Hmmm.....

Isnt it funny what some people carry in their handbags.
I only ever have my cell phone, my wallet and some tissues.
One of my aunties used to always have a spare pair of knickers in her handbag.

Now that could get a bit interesting if you were stopped and searched for any reason or if you went to pull out a piece of tissue and ended up with a pair of knickers to blow your nose with.

Hehe, that would be a little embarrassing!:P

I have all kinds of random stuff in my handbag. Rocks are a favorite... I'm always picking them up because I think they're pretty, and then wind up with a bag that weighs too much because I forget to take them out. That tradition started with my friend's son who used to put them in my bag when he was little, along with occasionally toys and little notes written poorly in crayon.:P

Full of rocks. I used to always collect shells.
My kids used to collect rocks.

Speaking of things children collect, I can remember taking a walk with my oldest son once and we saw a dead animal in the road that had obviously been run over more than once and he turns to me and says "I collect those". I was horrified and had visions of going home and looking under his bed, but then he quickly explained to me that what he meant was, that he remembered what and when he saw these dead critters and would tell his friends about it because it was a cool thing to do. I was so relieved that I wasn't going home to a collection of roadkill.

Eeeewwww that would have been a nice collection to find.
Lucky it was only in his memory.

I think my daughter used to collect her school lunches.
I was cleaning out her toy box one day and came across these pieces of bluey green stuff.
She was bringing her lunch home and hiding it.

Many times when I buy scratchers from the store, I have my son pick them out and 9 times out of 10 he wins.

I think I may have had one of those in the past that you tend to take out and play with between your fingers. If yours is anything like mine its nice and smooth.

Mine is so shiny, smooth...you could find it in the dark, and often I do find I take it to bed (huh?) with me, as I think that in my own mind I have attached those heavenly powers to it.

One time, I had misplaced it! I was studying for my Level 3 E.M.T. exam, I couldn't find it, and failed the exam (could it have been from the stress of losing it?) In a month, I could rewrite, found my "worry rock" and aced the exam.

Nothing like carrying your good luck charm with you wherever you go. Can't shake that one if you wanted to. LOL.
