What Is The Best Camera? |
| |
| I received my first digital camera for Christmas two years ago. I love it but I am ready to upgrade. I have a Canon sureshot. I am wanting to save for a professional SL camera. What kind is best? Does any of you have a Single lens camera? If you do what brand and would you recommend it? I am leaning toward another Canon. I have had great luck with Canon Cameras. What is your favorite brand? | | | | | |

| | I dont have a favorite brand. I choose the camera on price and the features it has. I am not much of a photographer so a normal 3 -6 mega pixel digital camera will do me. I bought a little 3 mega pixel Technika one about a month ago,and I have been pleased with the results when I have used it.I dont know what a single lens camera is,but I think mine has only got one.As for brands, havent got a clue, although I know that Olympus are quite good.My son told me that, lol | | | | | | |

| | one of my favorite brand out there in the market when it comes to good quality and product is the brand canon. this is the best brand you could get in the market in my opinion. i love taking pictures. i even imagine myself being a photographer in life and i would love to be one. the only contraint for me is the money to buy a good camera out there. the best ones are the most expensive. they could amount to thousands of dollars. all i need to do is to save up my money and take some classes about photography and i would be good to go to start taking professional pictures and probably start my own business. i think i would be very successful if i do this because i love what i am doing and that makes it not a job or work. this makes it a hobby and i'm loving it. | | | | | | |

| | I was where you are in not knowing what to purchase for my first digital. I have a 45mm Canon and like you I liked it but I thought I was ready for a digital. So like you I asked my myLot buddies here and after thinking about all the responses, you guessed it I bought a Canon PowerShot S3IS 6.0 MEGA PIXELS. Zoom 12X. I absolutely love this camera and if I had to do it again Yes I would pick this one. I didn't have mine long before my daughter bought the very same camera. Good luck hon, I know your frustration!!! | | | | | | |

| | Oh I had a Canon SureShot before... the film one though. It was a nice point and shoot, I used to use it a lot. I finally got an SLR almost a year ago. I got the Nikon D80. I absolutely love it. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have live view (so you have to look through the viewfinder). Depending on your price range, the Nikon D300 has live view and is very nice. If I didn't already buy the D80 I might have considered it. Except that I probably couldn't really afford it anyway. I like Nikons myself because their settings and camera styles tend to go exactly with what I want in a camera. But I've used Canons too and they're nice as well. I think they can be a bit easier to use. I have a Canon video camera and love that. But once you learn a Nikon they are all very similar. And in a lot of ways I just really like Nikons a lot better. | | | | | | |

| | i would suggest that you get the professional series the SLR's of nikon. canon.s SLR's or single lense reflex are also good , it is all in the upgrade of your accessories and how you use it, how to take photos with all its complicated adjustments. | | | | | | |

| | I have to say right now that I am most likely going to go with a Nikon or Canon, depends on what I can get the best price on. Best piece of advice that I can give you is buy the best camera you can afford, don't go with something less than you want because its cheaper, get the best you can afford... I regret Buying my Sony HSC-5, and even though it is a good camera, I should have bought a better camera DSLR would have been really good, but I didn't and I regret it now. My husband is talking about letting me buy a DSLR with our tax rebate, and if thats the case I'm probably going to with a DX200, Or a canon EOS 20, or 30D. I think when you get up in that range its personal preference. Mooch | | | | | | |
