Easter Bunny  |

 The Easter Bunny is going to have to deliver eggs this year in a boat. We have some major flooding going on and the rivers haven't crested yet. The bulk of the mess will most likely happen tomorrow night. So, can you picture a pink bunny floating through a backyard to hide the eggs?

haha no i cannot imagine the Easter bunny floating through a backyard in a boat to hide the Easter eggs. lol but i hear ya about the rain, here in Nashville, we have seen over two inches of rainfall now within a 24 hour period of time. and it is still raining now. so i hope that it will stop raining by the weekend so that the children can get out Sunday and hunt their Easter eggs. my children and i will decorate our Easter eggs this Saturday. i need to run to the Dollar General Store and pick up some plastic eggs to fill with candy as well as i have already got the dye kit in the box for the real eggs. whoo hoo! that will be so much fun Saturday.

| 2. sconibear (2559) | 2 years ago |  i lives in St. Joseph, MO. like 16 or 17 years ago when the Mississippi flooded. there was so muck water that we didn't have any water (flooded the water plant) you could look across the river to Kansas where they had a redi-mix cement company and you could just see the hoppers on the back of the cement trucks sticking out of the water. luckily, we lived on a hill. i think the Easter bunny is like the mailman...rain, sleet, etc.

| byfaithonly (6302) | 2 years ago | Well that's good that it's not near but could add a new twist to egg hunts - using fish nets to catch them as they float by and everyone should add their location to their eggs when painting them so the people who find them know where they came from and how far they traveled. | |

| byfaithonly (6302) | 2 years ago | My heart and prayers truely do go out to the people effected by this - I lived in Texas where we were nearly flooded ourselves (boats traveling on roads) and we saw not far from our home where many homes were distroyed...
Maybe making fun of this situation doesn't seem like the best thing to do but our family believes in laughing in the face of adversity and posssibly finding an egg that had traveled many miles to be found would help a bit. | |

The school was closed today because of it and may be closed tomorrow also. the water is very high right up the road from here. It is over the roads and getting into people's homes also. I feel sorry for the little bunnies. I hope the Easter Bunny can row a boat, LOL.

| 7. blackbriar (6333) | 2 years ago |  The Easter Bunny just might use his ears as wings to fly all the eggs to their proper destinations. That way he won't risk drowning or getting wet. Even thou the river has dropped a foot, it's still pretty wet in and surrounding areas. The Easter Bunny will be able to hide his egss in our yard this year for our daughter to find thou. He couldn't other years cause it was just too cold for him. So far, this past week has been pretty mild despite the rain.

I am near 270 and Olive so we have no problems. Valley Park will probably be all under water by tonight, unfortunately. Guess it's better here than Chicago.
