I was told that I don't need to go to Physical Therapy anymore. I do have to see a chiropractor. Tuesday is my first appointment. Although I am not certain that this will work, I am willing to give it a try.

My shoulder and neck still cause me discomfort and can be a bit painful when I over work myself. I was told not to do too much, but how can I not? My work is cleaning. It is hard to push a mop and not put some effort into it.

I still need to apply heat to the shoulder and neck muscles and if I can get the hubby to do a massage that would help too. But, that is only for pain management.

Today while at the office for my check-up, I met a friend who told me that she has had whiplash since 2006 and it is still causing her problems.

The insurance adjuster was at my house a couple of weeks ago. I expect him to call me soon to see if I am ready to sign off. I have already told him that I will not sign anything until I am certain that I am physically well enough to do so.

I believe I should consult a lawyer at this point to see what I should do.

You are right about seeing a lawyer. Is this pain all resulting from accidents this winter? I feel like I am missing something somewhere. I know that recovery often takes time, especially if you are working and re irritating the injury. Stick to your guns about not signing off.

I was in an accident on February 6th. Totaled my car and gave me whiplash. I am having a difficult time with my shoulder and neck. Not supposed to lift over 10-20 lb with my left arm, but how do you now use your arm? Geez.

That matches with what I thought I remembered.

I think I would definitely talk with a lawyer. I would just be a little worried. I hope you start feeling better soon.

I've had whiplash two times now, the first one 30 years ago and the second one about 15 years ago. I still have trouble with my neck and referred pain to the arm. I got a very small settlement for the first accident and nothing for the second since I didn't go to the hospital after the accident. I know the adjusters will pressure you. If you can find a good lawyer, it wouldn't hurt to get an opinions for sure.

That must hurt :/ sorry to hear that. Maybe can you try another job that requires less physical activity? Maybe working in an office would be good for you :O First off, you have to take care of your health. I have a friend who was a pianist. She practiced for 4-5 hours straight and she went to the hospital as she couldn't move her hands at all. She then had tendonite or something like that..so that was 2 years ago and she can't play piano ever again. So I hope you will feel better.

So I know that the insurance guy cannot force you to sign off. Here in Canada, the content in the contract is important. The customer and the insurance cannot go against the contract. I know there are certain disease which could be excluded depending in the company. I believe that your insurance covers random accident and diseases which could affect your work. So if your current situation is not excluded from the contract, you will win the case. If your case was excluded but he didn't not inform you properly or the conditions were writing small, it is a form of abbuse and you can take them to court. So goodluck.

yeah if you are still in pain you proberly do need to go to physical therapy. I have been through it 2 times myself. I am walking a lot better then I was and standing better. Were as before I was falling when I stood in one place. I guess I am finished I will have to wait untill I see my nerologist to see what his nurse practioner says. I use a 10s unit myself for shoulder pain.

I would see a lawyer, you can probably get a free consultation.thumbup Better to be safe than sorry. Who knows it may affect the rest of your life.surrender I first hurt my back when I was much younger and a lot less wise. I settled for 600.00 and now I can barely walk and am in constant pain with a herniated disc that probably was damaged then. cry I hope the chiropractor helps, it did me years ago. I asked my pain doctor about it last week when I was in for a shot. He said "you can try a chiropractor it might work or it could make it worse" Well jeez thanks for the great advice....lol
Brightest Blessings, Mari

Well, that is some great news. I'm glad that it is just narrowed down to the chiroprator now. I hope you get to feeling better soon. I would definitely seek a lawyer. The company will try to rip you off without one and they will leave you hanging with the extra medical bills if you have any. I would get an attorney quick!

I would not sign off on anything until I was sure there would be no more expenses further down the road. Lawyers are expensive but you may need one. Have you ever tried Legal Aid? I have use our local branch and have had very good free and helpful results.

Yes, Elusive, this could affect you for the rest of your life, hopefully not, but really do not as you say be pressured into signing..
Also serious pain should be validated and you should be compensated justly..is this from the accident yes?
Well, I agree with you lawyer is a good idea..
I have had injuries that have affected me for the rest of my life Elusive..and was not smart to get a lawyer and regret it now.
