happy anniversary, I never was married long enough, my marriage ended before we reached the 5th year. I think it is great when couples celebrate but it is not necessary as you pointed out. If the marriage is secure enough to last like yours does, every day is simple and every day is special at the same time.

My husband and I met 16 years ago and have been married 13 years. We have never planned anything special for our anniversary. The most we do is wish each other a happy anniversary, hug, kiss and make whoopee! It's pretty hard for my husband or I to forget our anniversary. It's the day after my husband's birthday, after all, which also happens to be the most romantic day of the year!

congratulations, she must be a wonderful woman :) my beloved and I will be married 20 years next month. I have never forgotten the day or its anniversary, however, I think he has a few times... then sometimes perhaps he wishes he could forget... lol. poor thang.

Congratulations on your Pearl wedding anniversary Grandpa Bob And Grandma Debbie. What a great milestone to reach! My partner and I are coming up on our ninth wedding anniversary on 21st of August this year. We usually try to organise something special like a night in a hotel and a nice dinner or something like... finances permitting of course. I've been married 36 years. No I have never forgotten it and neither has my husband. Sometimes we go out and sometimes we just enjoy being together.

Well you know how all my anniversarys in the past were horrible. But im sure this one will be better it already is im happy lol. Agian HAPPY ANIVERSARY. Sorry no paper flowers this year lol.

That's great! Happy anniversary! I'm not married, but my parents will celebrate their 34th wedding anniversary this coming August. Long live happy marriages!

Wow congratulations on 30 years of marriage Grandpa Bob. We have been married for 7 years this year in June and we usually celebrate it with a lunch or dinner out somewhere with our son, and or movies. We don't give presents but my husband usually gives me extra $$ to spend on whatever I want :)

Our anniversary is Oct. 8th and this Oct. it will be 14yrs. for us. We've had some rough roads in our marriage but we work on paving them smooth again every time. I'm the one that usually forgets our anniversary but only on THE day. Any other time I remember it thou..funny ain't it? lol We usually don't do anything special. Just go out to eat or a day at the park for just the 2 of us. Usually it's a quiet day for us.

Happy Anniversary GRANDPA BOB and GRANDMA DEB! Wishing you much much more love and happiness! May Grandma Deb be more patient to you! haha... I have been married for 8 years but we have been a steady couple for 14 years before we tied the knot. haha.. It was a long engagement actually. Our parents were the ones who got so annoyed with us for letting them wait for a long time. haha.. We were both busy on our respective careers before. However, I did forgot once that it was our anniversary. I was so busy then because I joined a market bazaar in Manila and it was running for a week. My husband was so patient and understanding that he surprised me at my stall. He waited patiently for my greetings but he waited in vain. That night, he just whispered Happy Anniversary Sweetheart! Oh my goodness, I was shocked and I really felt so frustrated that I completely forgot all about it. He just laughed at me and hugged me and said, it's alright but next time you forget about "us", you won't see me again! haha..Since then, I never did forget! Just my thoughts dear friend! Congratulations March 20 marked my 25th anniversary and we did do something..I did a post on it, having to do with, flowers,candy,champagne, red linen and Hillery Clinton... So more or less we did go out and I got the works..

i am verry sorry limited experience about this topic because i am still single right now. waiting the right one to come. LOL. anyway, i agree with what you said. the most important is how your relationship manage all the hardship that both of you have face in your daily life. i know you passed all the trials and problems that are common to all couples . special date of a month or year doesn't matter. you make all days special because eveyday is GOd gift to us. Being close and having love affection always even both of you are old is a great rewards. love one another no matter what happen. live a life not for yourself but for your wife/husband.

Our anniversary is the day after Valentine's Day so we usually just celebrate both together. Usually we just go out and eat and maybe give each other a card. Mom was sick this year so I don't think we did anything. After being married awhile we've gotten kind of lazy about celebrating too.

This is funny, i am the same way as you i guess. i know what month its in, but i always remember it as two days after.. let me explain.. Our aniversary is on may 20th.. (i think) lol. and i always say may 22nd for some reason when people ask.. I have a thing with numbers.. its like i've got number dislexia, i can never remember phone numbers,and i'm real bad at math. numbers overload my brain. . He used to get mad, but i think he understands now. . As i sometimes do it with the year my first born was born as well.. so its not just this date. So since its almost may.. we will have been married two years ;) and together for... i believe this is the 5th year... we got together sometime in feb 5 years ago.. lol.

Happy anniversary Grandpa Bob and I wish you another 30 more years with your beautiful wife. I think that such anniversary should be celebrated because not all people would last that long. I only have to look at myself and my broken marriage and all I could say is that its not easy. It take special kind of love and commitment to be together always to last that long. Congratulations to you and your lovely bride! Tom and I have only been married since Aug, and we haven't done anything special yet for any of our holidays. We just treasure our time together and try to make each day special.
