Would you put Nappy/Diaper Rash Cream On Your Face To Prevent Wrinkles?

Marie Clair magazine has an article in it this month saying that the latest and best wrinkle prevention cream for women to use is in fact only £2.49 and is Waitrose Nappy Cream. Wow, all these people that spend fortunes on the latest skincare products out, but when you think how soft and delicate a babies skin is I suppose it makes sense that you could use this cream on your face. I certainly would and will give it a try anyway. Haemorrhoid cream is used by models to hide bags under the eyes and that is supposed to be for bottoms so why not. Would you give this a try?

I am literally just about to go and buy some from Waitrose. What a coincidence. My wife read the article in the Mail on Sunday I think, and she has wondered about how effective it is since. I thought that it might be an amusing surprise for her.

If I knew where a Waitrose was I'd be off to buy some too but Tesco has the monopoly here. There may be one in Exeter so I'll go in on Saturday and grab some. I have very soft skin anyway but I'd like to smooth the lines a bit. How kind of you to go get her some. Ellie :D

Oh yes I know the one I have passed it many a time. I will take a drive out there then. Much appreciated, thanks. By the end of next week your wife and I will have skin as smooth as a babies bottom he, he. Ellie :D

Your nearest Waitrose is in Sidmouth. Stay on the Seaton/Lyme Regis road, don't go into the town, and you will see it on the right. There isn't one in Exeter that I can recall. Otherwise you have to go down to Okehampton or to Dorchester. Walking encyclopedia of Waitrose stores. Comes of having them in the family.

I've heard about using Preparation H for bags under the eyes. I haven't tried it yet, but it's on my "one of these days" shopping list. Thanks for the handy hint about the diaper rash cream for wrinkles. A friend also told me about using lard as a moisturizer. I haven't tried that as it kind of grosses me out.

Hello Joyce I'm going out to buy both LOL but I've just heard Waitrose has sold out already so I may have to stay wrinkly a while longer eh! Urrrgh no the thought of lard on my mum doesn't make me feel too good either, he he. Ellie :D

Hmmmm..If it works then why not. I won't be putting the diaper on my face just the cream so I guess I would do it. If it's really that good for the face.

I have used Preparation H a few times when I have woke up and my eyes were swollen and yes it does work. As far as the Nappy cream, I have not heard of that one, and I would want to know what the ingredients are. If it is zinc based it is probably be messy, but I don't see why it would not be good for your skin. Hey plain old vegtable oil works in a pinch as well.

Yes Prepartion H is fantastic for puffiness or tired eyes. It must be different from other nappy creams as the national newspapers and the Marie Claire magazine both stated the Waitrose Nappy Rash Cream. I am going to give it a try when I can get some as stocks have run out at present. Thanks for the tip re the vegatable oil though, appreciated. Ellie :D

sure...thanks for the tip...I'll probably go out and buy some of both tomorrow. It does actually make sense. I've also heard that baby lotion was the best moisterizer available and probably the cheapest as well. I have never heard of waitrose nappy cream. Would any baby cream work?

One of my friends can only use baby lotion and baby bath products as she has sensitive skin but she looks a lot younger than her years and her skin is very soft. Good luck with your search for the Waitrose one as it appears a lot of stores are awaiting more deliveries as it has shot of the shelves over the last couple of days. Ellie :D

LOL The preparation H for haemorrhiods works extremely well for any puffiness under eyes which is why models use it. Waitrose have sold out of the nappy cream at the moment so good luck with your shop, some stores may still have but it has been flying off the shelves but I bet the mums haven't been buying for the babies this time eh! Why not. Why would I spend a fortune if something so simple would be good. We don't have Waitrose in Canada but I know all the drustores carry creams for diaper rash. I guess it will the same ingredients no matter what name. Off I go to get some.

LOL maybe Waitrose have a secret ingredient, mine are out of stock already. Hope the Canadian alternative works. Ellie :D

As long as dermatologists say the ingredients are good for the skin then I would use it why not. As far as I am concerned, skin cream is skin cream. My grandmother also told me years ago that baby pee actually was good for good skin care as well. I never tried that though.

I don't mind baby bottom cream on my face but baby pee I think I would draw a line at that one too. I wonder where your grandmother learnt that one! Waitrose has sold out already so I will have to stay wrinkly a while longer. LOL. Ellie :D

I don't have any wrinkles yet but if I did, I may try using the diaper rash cream. I just recently started to get a few more grey hairs on my head too and I have been pulling them out LOL. If I start to wrinkle, I may try just about anything to get rid of them or prevent them from getting worse.

It works as a preventative too Steph. I'm going to get some as soon as it is back in stock, there has been a mad rush sine the article as I believe it was also in a national newspaper here as well as the Marie Claire magazine. At £2.49 its definately worth a try. Ellie :D

Heck, if it works then why not?! Afterall, women are smearing snail slime from Holland and Barrett on their faces. I've got to say that one is just a step too far for me! Now I just have to figure out where the nearest Waitrose shop is!

I am trying to think where my nearest Waitrose is too as Tesco have the monopoly in my town! I will get some though, but like you I think I will draw the line at snail slime, yuk, just the thought of it makes me retch. I can cope with most things but slugs and snails aren't one of them. Ellie:D

It sound interesting. Why not? I would try it. It does make sense because babies have sensitive skin and if it didn't cause any irritation to babies, then it will not cause any harm trying. And it is also cheap.

It is supposed to work as a preventative too so I had better by three lots as I can see my teenage daughters grabbing mine of the shelf to try! It does make sense and at £2.49 a lot cheaper than some of these more expensive anti-aging creams available eh! Stocks are flying of the shelves though since the article as it was in a national paper ans well as the Marie Claire magazine. Ellie :D

Yup! Why not? There are tons of way more expensive things out there but I like saving money when I can and if it's good enough for a baby.....it's good enough for me! LOL

Hello Ellie-I might try Haemorroid cream for bags under the eyes, but I wash my skin with a cream from the dr called Aqueous cream that actually keeps your skin soft and it protects your skin from water etc,it also cleans down deep in the pores though I don't have wrinkles at the mo I seriously think that this cream would keep them down too-blessings littleowl

Probably my mother will have a try, and maybe I can buy one for her. The problem is whether there's this kind of product Waitrose Nappy Cream in China and where. What does it look like? Maybe it's not that cheap here if it's inported overseas.

Well, many women I know of regularly use baby cream from Johnson & Johnson and that is the only cream they use. In fact they use the moisturizer and soap meant for the babies, too. I don’t know how useful that would be in removing wrinkles, but as you said, it must be helping them to keep their skin baby-soft.
