I love gardening as well as enjoying them growing more daily and especially picking and eating all the stuff I grow. My wife was funny today. We planted new things in the garden and around the house today. Cukes, tomatoes, zuchinnis, cauliflowers, adn some flower boxes. Well after watering things I looked outside and my wife was just standing at the edge of the garden staring at it and loving the look of all our hard work. Does anyone else in your family love your hard work you put into your gardens and ganrdening in general? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

LexaNightShadows (956) | 4 months ago | Unfortunatly, he just doesn't appreciate the fun of growing your own plants - Currently I am super excited because an Orchid I bought last year has started to re-bloom - there are about 8 flowers coming out! I didn't think it was ever going to re-bloom! When I saw the buds I started squealing so lound my son thought there was something wrong, lol!! I have 2 other orchids that still aren't doing anything - hopefully they will be inspired by the other one! LOL!! Lexa

4. stephcjh (11990) | 4 months ago | Same here. We have got our small garden out and I see it growing and starting to get some blooms on the tomato plants every day. I can hardly wait to get some fresh tomatoes and green onions, and leaf lettuce. We only live on a 1/4 acre so we do not have much room because our home and garage and swimming pool and trees and landscaping takes up alot of our room. I love our hard work around here. We are getting ready to put a roof on our back deck and do alot of landscaping in my back yard this summer. I want to buy a cedar gazebo soon too. We just finished some of our pool deck recently also.

5. gemini_rose (7260) | 4 months ago | I wish that I loved gardening, I love pretty plants, trees and flowers but do you know what spoils my wanting to enjoy it and be a gardener? Those rotten horrible bugs. I cannot cope with them at all, I am alright until I see one and I just cannot do anymore. I am OK with woodlouses, and beetles as long as they are small and in groups of one. But bugs that I do not recognize or spiders and I am off up the path into the house and that is it. But I am going to give it a good go when I have had my garden done in June.

6. dragonfly242 (857) | 4 months ago | I couldn't grow anything if it was to save my life, my sister on the other hand has a green thumb. She once gave me some outdoor plants{after i murdered all the indoor ones she gave me} and they died to.Everytime i go to her house i'm a little envious of how lovely her yard looks, it's beautiful. Forgive my ignorance, but what are Cukes?

7. Ldyjarhead (3791) | 4 months ago | Looking good! I think my husband enjoys gardening too and he has some mint he planted, as well as some tree seedlings that he got from the Arbor Day Foundation. He knows I'm enjoying myself with all my things in containers and sees how excited I get when I see new sprouts, or flowers or whatever, but he pretty much lets me do my thing. He's always right there when I need help moving things or something, though. I know if we were able to have a 'real' garden he would definitely be working it with me.

webeishere (9404) | 4 months ago | Mint is very invasive. We planted a small one now it's taking over the area. But that's good as it is hidden in the back in an area we want the weeds etc gone. So far it's doing the trick. I love picking the mint then drying it out to use in tea. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Ldyjarhead (3791) | 4 months ago | That's why he put it in a pot instead of in the ground here somewhere. He wants it for tea too. I've never had fresh mint in tea, but I'm game!

8. ladym33 (1530) | 4 months ago | My husband always tells me what a good job I do on the flower beds. I used to admire my grandmothers garden. My grandmother had the most amazing garden, she grew everything that was able to grow in her area. She was also an amazing cook who really made the best out of her fresh grown vegetables. She used to cook her fresh grown green beans in a way that was out of this world, and rhubarb pie that was amazing. I doubt I will ever again taste such a wonderful rhubarb pie now the my grandmother is gone. I will certainly never forget her wonderful garden though.

webeishere (9404) | 4 months ago | We bought this house 5 years ago and as far as landscape was concerned this yard etc was a shambles looking like a dried out jungle actually. Now I have neaighbors telling me how great the yard looks etc. They especially love the flower beds and edging that I have planted. It mekes me so proud of myself when they do this. I've got a lot of green beans planted as well. My wife loves maj=king various dishes wioth them. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

10. chrissieatu (541) | 4 months ago | Hey Grandpa Bob. Glad that you add something new to your garden. That means that I have more photos to enjoy in the future. My family doesn't have a garden. But my father planted some flowers in the balcony. They are quite beautiful. My father is quite satisfied with that. When it's new year, he will take the flowers into the living room to decorate it. Really nice.
