Do you still use plastic bags?  

Yes, I agree it should be a major issue for the government to address. I use paper bags and most of the times decline to use plastic bags. And only of late I am into cloth bags.

But what surprised me was that the mall wanted us to use the cloth bags instead of plastic ones. Just a move on their part to show their effort to preserve environment. In fact they had opened a counter just at the entrance. A commendable move indeed, but shouldn't have they train the staffs appropriately!

It feels awful! The consciousness should be the major issue for addressing. They have no idea at all1 I feel sad. But we have to do our bit faith before the world goes burnt.

my mom uses the plastic bags as bin liners as you have said. It comes very handy to dispose litters. She recycles it in her own way, but never throw it off. Cloth bags have only recently been introduced as a part of eco friendly environment. However, my parents and grandparents used it use cloth ones. It was more like a big pouch which fitted in any thing asnd everything.

The weird thing is that poeple talk about reusable bags as being a 'new' thing. Of course they aren't! Our grandparents didn't carry their shopping home in a plastic carrier bag.

It's good to see you. Paper bags are very good. In fact I use a lot of them. Only recently I have been switching over to cloth ones. I have been hoping make cloth bags from assorted left overs of cloth piece.. What do you think?

I think you should design your own line of extra beautiful shopping bags with your own designer label on them and sell them for ridiculously high prices hahahah and then work that money for the good of mankind, such as eco friendly products and also for yourself to look even more beautiful LOL xooxox Love you my friend..why not? Plastic bags because most stores only offer them. But now some beer stores (LCBO) are now using paper bags, hopefully more stores will follow this example.

Some_dude, it's true. Only recently paper bags are being introduced in my place. How ever when I was a child I have seen small shops giving stuffs in paper packets for plastic was expensive then. See the irony!
