Anyone else ever had an Asian Pear?

I don't recall if I have ate one or not I will have to look it up. I love pears and have had several kinds but not sure about the Asian one. I would seriously be willing to try it. I am usually the first one in the family to try "New" things some I loved and continued to buy and others I wished I never bought"YUCKY!" lol I love trying stuff out.

Asian pears are delicious. Just like you said, they are firm, sweet and juicy. They have a slightly different texture than Bartlett pears. I recommend it to those who have not tasted it. They are not as common though, and sometimes you can only get them from Asian stores. Still, they can be a nice change from the usual pears that we find in our regular supermarket.

I love pears but I am not sure if I have ever had that kind or not. Where id you puchase them from? I know someone around my town that has their own pear tree. they offered for us to come over and get our own if we like. I have not done it yet though because we do not know them very well. I love to eat pears but they are very expensive these days. I asm willing to try any kind of pair.

I have only ever had an Asian pear once before. I threw up about 20 minutes later. I doubt it was the pear that made me throw up, but I have not tried one since. That was about 3 years ago.

Sure, that sounds harmless enough. I'm game for trying most things at least once. The guy who eats the strange things on the travel channel though I think I would give most of them a pass.

Yes, I do eat Asian pears. They make me think that they are an apple and pear cross fruit! They have the texture kinda like an apple but when they are really ripe taste more like a pear. They are really good!

I have. They're delicious. I've only had a few but they left a very good impression.
