do you wear fake/fancy jewelry or just the real ones?

Hi I like all those fancy jewelries but I can not wear them because of allergy. I can not wear them for half an hour continuously, it will cause itching and also it will spread all over the area like if I wear a neck chain rashes will appear all over my neck.

before?! wearing fakes or plastic accessories caused me allergies, but since I'm into another world of wearing cute accessories that are fancy made, i have to pass through with it..eventhough before that it caused me sores and blisters!

I can't wear costume jewelry at all. But I can't wear the "real" stuff either. I am allergic to 18K gold even. It doesn't just make my ears itch. My ears start oozing out yellow stuff and turning bright red and throbbing from the pain. I stretched my lobes recently and now I can wear many non-metal styles comfortably. I can't even feel it that I have earrings in right now.

i'm very sorry i don't like wearing any jewelry even wrist watch. i love for being simple. my friend give a gift of silver ring and bracelet but i didn't wore it. many people love to wear jewelry even the fancy one because they can't afford to buy the real jewelry. i don't need jewelry to wear but i need jewelry to keep.

I've got almost the same problem. Even when I'm a grown up now, I'm still allergic to fake jewelries. I can only where a pair of fake earrings / studs for about 6 to 7 hours. If I wear them for more than 1 day, my earlobes will start to swell, turn red and feel very itchy. So I'll usually wear earrings/studs made of gold, platinum or silver for long hours. But on certain occassions (like going to dinner with friends, or a house-warming party etc.) when I need to match my earrings with my clothes, I'll just wear the fake ones for just a few hours. Not just with earrings, in fact, whenever I wear a fake necklace for a day, my neck feels itchy and some red spots will appear on my neck.

me too, i am also allergic to fake jewelries, especially earrings also,my ears also tends to progress into wound, but now i prepare some silver jewelries especially earrings my skin wont get itchy every time i used them...

I wear alot of Lia Sophia..because I have been to so many parties! LOL...both my sisters had one and my cousin was a dealer and I get invited to close out sales. But it is very pretty jewelry. The stone in my rings I wear however are all real.

Good for you that you can now wear fake jewelries cause up to this date I can't still wear fancy jewelries. I still have allergies on those type and when I still try to wear fancy jewelries I end up having wounds.

i don't use real jewelry since i have this tendency to lose it. my mum hates me for that...LOL she said better to use fancy since you're just gonna lose it. ^_^

I had my ears pierced at a very young age. They say this makes you alergic to the metals. I can't wear the cheap post earrings or i have the same reaction you do. But i can wear the wires or hooks even if they are cheap. If i buy a cheap pair that has a post i have to remove it from the post and put it on a wire or hook. But if the post is real gold or silver then i can wear it. I wear both the good expensive jewerly but most of my jewerly is the inexpensive kind or hand crafted. mostly by me.

I do wear fake jewelries. But it doesn't have to stay long in my body because like you I will develop rashes too. I only use real gold for my ears. If for style purposes, I bare the pain if I have to wear fake ones. It doesn't matter. I am allergic to all not just for earrings. But since I like jewelries, its okay. After use, I remove immediately and treat the itchiness. Take care =)

I don't have allergy to fake jewelries though so I can wear the fancy ones, it's fine by me. I don't tend to wear jewelries that much these days but if someone special would give me a necklace I just might wear it everyday hehe.

Yes, I wear too, but I called it fashion jewelry. It's made up of good quality crystals and pearl with a taste of class. Not expensive but not cheap.

for awhile i could only wear gold in my ears cause i was always getting infected. now i try to wear other ear rings but not keep them in as long. my other jewelry is fake though. it's cheaper and you don't have to worry about being robbed.

No I don't. I'm allergic. The time that I bought a supposed "gold" earrings, my ears got so itchy it turned red. That was the time I found out I'm allergic to fakes. But I do wear other accessories like necklaces.

i think there are more women who wear jewelry than men. as for men like me i am not into jewelry. i only wear a watch. but i dont wear fancy watch for fake leather makes me itch, just like you with fancy earings. some guys wear blings and earings, me being a member of a band does not wear anything like that. i just wear a watch but not as often too.

Same here!there are fancy earrings that make my ears itchy but there are those like hypoallergenic earrings that I wear to match my get up once in a while. But more often, I stick to real pearls because I believe it is very becoming. The high carat gold and diamond earrings are reserved for special occasions like special dates with my hubby, special parties with friends and relatives, weddings and the likes

Most of my jewelry is cheaper stuff but alot of my earing are at least 14 carrot gold. I have had problems with alergies on my earings and gold seems to be the only thing I can wear. With my rings, bracelets and everything else is mostly cheaperstuff, although I do have some gold and silver. Cheers, Tianna

When i was in high school I used to wear the fake stuff because that is what i could afford . I have even had my finger turn green before . Now , I have a fw more nice pieces , but i will buy anything i like .
