How much is an average for your electric bills per month?mine usually will range anywhere from $196-$320 per month.I have an overdue bill right now that I need to pay which is $400.Do you ever get your electric cut off because of overdue payments? We have once gotten cut off.Now I try to make sure that is the first bill I pay.I cant go without my air conditioning, its too hot!

The highest that my electric bill has gone up was last month. It shot up to $250 form $100 in 2 months. Gosh. Now it's gone down to $200. To think at that time I was the only one living in the apartment. Now that I have roommates I wonder if it's going to stay that way or even higher.

$196-$320 per month What are you doing in your home?!? Our bill was about $100 a month due to having to leave a ligh ton all day for our birds. In our new place, we don't use a light during the day (we have a lot more windows the supply more than enough light), a better thermostat, and better insulation. I am looking forward to a lower bill.

Yikes! I don't know if that is the same as our U.S. dollars, but I would die before I paid that much. I'm in a very tiny house here and pay between $45-$100 with just my husband and myself. I can keep it $50 or so if I'm not running heat or AC, so I can get maybe two months out of the year with a really low bill.

Wow, that's alot. It depends on what all appliances you have that are electric. My electric bill is only about $60 per month, but my stove, dryer, heater, and hot water heater are not electric. They are run by gas. So my gas bill is around $300 per month. I've never had my electric shut off before, but they've shut off my gas, phone and water at times before. Fortunately I don't have to use my air conditioning very much. I live under lots of trees and my house stays really cool. It feels like the air is on almost all the time but it's not.

for my 400 square foot apartment I managed to get my electric bill down to only $22 this month, but I've been using next to nothing. Also I live in an area that actually has a very cheap electric company that if I lived so much as one town over it would be more expensive. I have an upstairs apartment and the whole place is pretty much new and well insulated so in the winter the worse I've ever seen is $65.00 for a month, and everything is electric here.

We pay $65.00 per month all year long. We are on the budget billing so it usually averages out to a credit amount at the end of the fiscal year. I always pay the bills on time. If I send a bill out that's overdue it's due to my lack of laziness or forgetting to mail the bill on time. The funds are always in the bank. I couldn't stand to be without a/c this time of the year. The humidity in our area is a killer. We've never had the electric cut off.

Wow, your electrric bills really expensive. I heve never heard of the electricity will be cut off because of overdue payments, it's impossible. I think there is something wrong with the department which cut off your electricity.

You know..I use air conditioning. But only until the home is cool, then I close the shades/curtains and wait until it gets hot again before I turn it on briefly again. It saves cash and works! (And I live in Florida!) Our electic bill is low and great!-We are around $100 a month, and that is WITH using a little time on the computer and using the TV! (Very few lights on ever here, though.)

I don't get an electric bill as we have a meter and we put money on it and and then use it as we need it and then also top it up as it gets low. It works better this way as we can never owe them anything although its a bit horrible when we are near pay day and we don't have enough mony to top up!! lol

Last summer my average bill was around $200.00 but I live in Arizona where it the temperature can reach over 115 degrees easy. This summer I'm using an evaporative cooler along with the A/C. The cooler has made a big difference already, as my electric bill in May of 2007 was $140.00 but this year it was only $66.00. I don't know where you live but if it's a dry climate try getting an evaporative cooler. They use less power but they don't work as well in humid climate. Good luck.

I purchased mine at Lowes for around $300.00. I know that's a lot of money but it's already paid for itself. It's a portable unit, intended for outdoor use, but I configued it to run in the house. I didn't like any of the window models.

It is not really an issue of controlling oneself or not.Electricity as well as everything else where I live is much more than what you would pay in the US and Canada.

Whooa.. thats really high. Well here in our house we have an approximately 80usd bill per month which is consider high already in a residential area. We don't have that big house but the rate here per kilowatt hour are so high plus the losses are also inflicted in customers. so our bill ma y still consider low in your country but this is already costly in ours.

My utility bill usually runs $110 to $160 depending on the time of year. I have to say that my utility bill includes not only electricity, but the water, sewer, etc., they are all on one bill. I have paid mine past the due date but way before the cut off date, normally if it's late it's only by a couple of days. I have never had it cut off.

Our bills were around $75, though with summer I'm sure they will go up! I recently switched to those flourescent bubls so I will be interested in seeing if that has saved us any money or not. I pretty much sit in the dark all day and keep as little lights on as possible.

We are a family of five and our electric bill has been averaging $480-$500 a month since last year. It's actually quite high and we're planning to do a little cost-saving measures this month. The increase in the price of gas as well as of other commodities has really put a dent in our budget. We don;t know how much power each appliance consumes, but my mom seems to think that ironing is one of the most expensive. SO this month we will sort our laundry and iron only clothes which need to be ironed.
