3 or 8 minutes dating,what are your views about it?

It's way of meeting people very fast some would do well with it as others would stumble and have no luck at all.

Im lucky I can talk to anyone about anything (as with most here in MYLOT). The reason I say that is if you are unable to make a discussion then there is nothing here for you as with speed dating.

So for many here in mylot I would think they would do OK at speed dating.

Again I'm lucky I have a gut feeling about people and I am very rarely wrong, I like you or I do not, and I will not change that, I did it once and it cost me and my family 3 years of heart ache.

Well, i havent tried it but i have heard about it. They give you 7 minutes to talk to a person then a bell rings and you have to leave the person and move on to next. You can ask whatever you want, take names and phone numbers (u are allowed to jot them down) .. Then after a break, the same things happen again, however this time, the people who were sitting would come and ask the questions to you.

Im not too much of a fan of this sort of thing, but i wouldnt deny, id like to try it even if just for the fun of it. No one expects to go there and meet the person of their dream, they just go to get a few phonenumbers and hope one of them turns out the one for them .. or something. lol..

Anways, i have a few friends who swear by it, but they are not the kind that commit .. so i wouldnt know.

I am married and I have never tried this. I think it is too risky and a waste of money and time actually. I would have to get to know the person better than for a longer period of time to know if they are someone I would be interested in dating or spending the rest of my life with.

I was going to say that I had not heard of this, but i have. I have seen something like this on sitcoms and I feel that it doesn't do justice to meeting people and connecting. You can not get to know anyone in just a few minutes as both are trying to think of things about them but forget some things that might be crucial to their relationship. No one falls in love with who they "want" to. Have a Great day.

I've heard of it a few times since last year and I don't agree with that type of dating. It may be the fastest way of meeting a person but I don't think it's enough to know a person more.

i don't able to judge someone in 3 or 8 minutes.i think this need a lot of time.

I think this type of dating is a gimmick and is very superficial, it is a meat market, and I am sure if dates are made they are made according to looks because you really don't know much else about the person in three minutes.

No I have never tried speed dating and to be honest I never would. It is not my idea of fun, if I ever end up single again and I wanted to find someone, which I would not, but if I did, I would just go out and meet people that way.

I am not sure that I would do the dating thing online, although in a way it is a nice way to talk and meet people from all over but there are also a lot of risks with it. But the only judgement that I would be able to make in three or eight minutes is whether I fancied them or not!

It seems speed dating is becoming more popular. I have never tried it as I have a partner. If I was single, I think it would be fun to go along to. However I think if you had that attraction to someone you would have to go on a longer date to see if there was a connection there. I am hopeless with names though, like you I would be very lucky if I remember any of they guys names.
