My Washing Machine has gone into a Time Warp!  

I bought the cheapest machine I could find. It has a dial on it. I read somewhere that all you need is ten minutes to do the laundry washing part. In ten minutes the detergent has done its job and the rest is just a waste of energy.

Being the frugal person that I am I only let my clothes wash for ten minutes now. I don't think there is a need to go longer.

I would shift the kettle into another room whilst I boiled it up so I could have my cuppa. Luckily mine doesn't have a timer to go into a time warp but you have just reminded me that I need to go unload mine now. Ellie :D

I thought my apartment complex washing machine was in a time warp too because the same thing happened! Then I realized that it times each different cycle of the washing process--not the entire wash. I also realized that it takes much longer than the 30 minutes it's supposed to because the water pressure is so low on our floor that it takes twice as long to fill. It's good to know that I'm not going crazy...

I don't know about your machine though. Maybe it is stuck in a time warp, or possessed.

the time delay.I know that happened to me in our apart complex'
washroom. thetime went back to when the lightswent off.

Hahahaha! I have one of those timers on my washing machine too, GreenMoo - and I think it lies! Sometimes I go on a walk (which takes 35 minutes) - and know the washing should be finished when I get home. But, the machine then says there is still 12 minutes to go! Go figure! It's always tricking me and making me think I'm going mad. It's supposed to be an 'intelligent' machine, so maybe it alters its timing because of the load shifting or something ... or maybe it's a woman and just likes to change its mind!

But this is what happens when I live on the other side of the world.
Have you tried resetting your machine.
Or even just resetting the timer itself.
I have had to reset the timer on my stove heaps of times because it has gone wonky on me.

I think I would just grab it by its precious little dial, and turn it to zero, then go get my tea. Note to self, make tea first, do washing last, tea is more important.Maybe this is the clock that the mouse ran up ( hickory, dickory, dock) and he messed up the whole sense of time. I really do not know for sure, I believe I may just be babbling along on overtime. Fixing to join that washer in a time warp.

I would tend to think there's something wrong with your timer. Set your kitchen timer next time and see if the washer is losing or gaining time. You might have to make a minor adjustment with a screwdriver.

Just think of all the one socks that come out of them, and you and I know we put two socks in there, so where are they,

Wow... That's pretty bad that you cannot have your Cup of Tea and do your laundry as well. Hopefully your laundry did get done so you could have your Cup of tea as well. I would think something was wrong if my Washer did this as well.
