Interest Group Avatars

I've been adding my own photos if I have them that fit the interest. Just the other day I added several photos of my dogs, horses, and of course my gardening escapades. I do pick one of my own as the default for that interest, if I have one uploaded. I took more pictures that I need to upload and I was just going to do that.

Sssshhhhhh, don't tell anyone Grandpa, but I don't know how to do that with interest groups. I am what they call dumb when it comes to doing certain things on here.

Somehow I guess I had not realized that I could do that. I may have to take a day or so and do those things. It would be very personal then. thanks for the hint.

I like the Grandpa Bob category avatar. I didn't know we could make new interest groups until yours was made. I should take more photos, but haven't had the time lately. I'm starting a 2-day temp job tomorrow in little downtown Springfield and plan to take my camera.

Hi Grandpa Bob, After I go thru my friends discussions they've started, my interest discussions and top discussions, I go into the interests and see what interest groups don't have a photo and try to find a few for it. I hate those generic images they have for the groups that don't have avatars for it. I have also personalized quite a few of my own interests with either a photo of my own (like for the dog interest) or picked one I liked better in their photos already downloaded. I, like you, find it more personal to have your own photos as the avatar. Happy MyLotting, Char

ashuahsuahusahaus u make personal one public thing -.^ this is interesting. imagine all the mylotters do the same thing? there will be a plenty of interesting things to see... but will be a lot weird too xD this will be MUCH FUNNY! =p lets start do this too! i want to see some crazy photos =D

I have tried this in some interest that i did not start but joined since there was like no member there... i uploaded some pictures... and even made them as the interest group avatar... i upload images everytime i get new photos... but for a few weeks now... i haven't done that... since i have no time to take any photos just yet...

Yes, I have uploaded one of my own pictures to groups for the avatars before. It just doesn't seem that we have control over which one of the pictures is chosen to be the main one that shows up as the default.

Hi grandpa. I did upload some photos on my interests group. It's really good to see that when you open your homepage and your photos are there. I like to personalize my stuffs, it makes me feel good. But I haven't uploaded photos for my other interests so I use photos that are existing there. HUGZ to you grandpa.

I wish I can change all my interest avatars just like you. But I don't have much time to take a shot of everything that I wanted to. First is I don't have a digicam. Second is, my mobile phone which has a camera can't get a clear shot on dark places. I really wish I have more time too, to experience how great photographers like has. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

I did add my own avatar for Hiking. I didn't see one already. Not many people type discussions in that interest..lol. I uploaded a pic of my cat in pets but couldn't find it again to save as an interest.

What a great idea - I hadn't thought of doing that!

I post pictures here only on discussions add an image. I haven't seen them reposted in here though. I had personal pictures as well posted in here. I know I can earn extra by posting pictures but Its such a hassle for me to do so when I am hiding from my boss when I am doing mylot..lol

Hello Grandpa Bob:) If I happen to stumble into and interest that has no avatar or a start a new one I tend to upload an image. I usually find something to work with that has to to with the subject and make the image I want. For some subjects it would be difficult to have a photo that is related, but I can use either some of my drawings or compose an image that works for what I want.If I like the result a lot I also use it for the default one for that interest for me:)

I have a few photos of my own that I've uploaded..like the interest group I started "thought provoking questions that are serious issue"--uh, that's me being serious...hehe..one mylotter claimed he got nightmares seeing it...LOL...then the dominant cat avatar used in the cats interest group is none other than my own black kitty Pyewacket

I normally do not mess with the avatars. I have changed a few of them, but for the most part I leave them the way they were when I added them. I might go change a few of the ones I do not really like though.
