Have You Experienced Your Electricity Being Cut-Off By Your Providers?

I have not had my electric cut off my electric provider.I have been very lucky about that. I am paying the whole monthly bills to them. It was very expensive this month though. I sure hope mt bill isn't that high next month. I feel so sorry for people who cannot afford their monthly bill and get their electric cut off. The price of everything these days, is outragious.

It is quite uncommon in my area... but just last month... the electricity in my office was almost cut by the electric company... well my boss was confined in the hospital for a few weeks... and her secretary was too busy to send money over... so we had two months unpaid bill... and during the time when they were able to send the money... we had the final notice given... and that notice said that if we don't pay immediately... the power will be cut off the following day... so i had to run to their office to pay the bill... it was a close call... but at least i made it...

It happened once, when my parents wages were payed later than usual. The electricity company sent someone and cut off the power line. When they came back after we paid the bill, in a few days, we had to pay a reconnection fee...

Lucky for me that I have never experienced such things. However, my family and I have taken steps to lower our electricity cost. We pay close to Php5,000 every month for our electricity because of our a/c. So now, we try to not use a/c anymore and just the plane old electric fan. It takes some adjustments on my part and on my children, but hey!, we are doing are part.

I've had some of my other utilities shut off because of getting behind on the bills, but never the electricity. I don't know if it's because the electric is not one of my very high bills, or if they are one of the nice companies that work with payment arrangements.

I've had that happen to me, definitely! I remember, when I was younger, we would sometimes have our electricity cut off for days at a time, and it was such an inconvenience!

Well I guess it also uncommon in our place that they are being cut-off from our providers. Electricity is quite a need especially if you are living in urban areas. besides feeling left out from your neighbors the heat would be unbearable in here for sure.

Before a company can dig they need a permit in the United States and at least in the area where I live it does not happen that often at all... I do believe that if companies do cut lines there is a hefty fine for doing so. Thanks Zelo

There were times in past years that we had hard times paying our electric bills and the power was cut off. But now we work hard to make sure that does not happen. Of course then occasionally due to weather or other failures sometimes our power will go off but it is not our fault.

I have tried this before and it was so terrible. Darkness defines boredom and idleness for me. What we just did with my friends was enjoy our company. We sang, danced, and did activities together to ease the boredom.

In my area electricity get cut off very rarely.At my native place it goes every day for one hour and then comes back.Its very hot in my native place so when electricity goes i start sweating a lot.

I have experienced my electricity being cut-off before when we are still renting a house. We are sharing the electricity with our landlord. Every payday, I see to it that I give to our landlord my share and for the rent. It is always his fault why it is cut-off. He doesn't pay the bills on time. Keep posting my friend! HUGZ!

their electricity was cut-off maybe because they are not paying their bills on time, i guess. it is really disgusting to be on the dark, LOL. and i could not imagine how will my life be without electricity. how can i even watch my favorite cable channel. my golly, how can i mylot.
