When you are under a deadline or when you have plenty of time to work on a project. I personally love deadlines. I think I can get more done the faster the time comes then if I have too much time given to me. If I have alot of time I seem to put it off until the last minute anyway! LOL....but I accomplish more when I have a deadline. How about you?

I accomplish more when I have plenty of time to work on it. I usually try to get it all done before the deadline.

I agree with you in this matter. I always do things last minute because it is the pressure that makes me move. I am always creative when there is not much time left for me to complete something. The same with doing house chores. I like to do my house chores when I only have a little time. So I would rush and do everything quickly and I even run at times to catch the so called 'deadline'. Lol.
When I was in college I had a lot of assignments and projects to complete. Usually my lecturers give ample time for us to complete it, but I always delay them until the last minute. I usually start doing all the assignments and projects one week before the deadline and my mind was running with creativity and I like the feeling. It was fun indeed.

hi jill!
i don't really like deadlines but yeah, i do accomplish a lot if i'm pressured by the deadline. ^__^;; i think its the rush of the adrenaline that makes our mind work more faster. but sometimes, some of the work i would finish are not satisfying so i tend to redo it even after the deadline.

Hi jillhill.
It's kind of freaky but I am pretty much like you on this one. I'd much rather have a deadline in getting a project done. I really rise to the occasion and work like a dog to get done early. Every boss I've ever had has loved me for that.

just like you, i can work better during the last minutes. when i am in school, i usually don't study during nightime. i love to study when the exams or quizzes are just hours or minutes away. it makes me nervous ofcourse and makes me wish that i gave more time in studying than cramming! but it works fine for me anyway. i mostly pass my exams and quizzes. but i still hope i can learn to manage my time a lot better next time.

I'm a deadline kind of girl. I can have weeks and weeks to work on a project but I never manage to get it done until the last minute anyway. Wednesday, for example, I was giving a speech on Thursday and I had not even written word one until after at least 6pm.

With or without a deadline, I will start a project the moment you give it to me. I like to get things done as soon as possible.

Good Morning Jill!
I don't like to be under a great deal of pressure, but I do think I work better when I have a deadline to meet. Like you, when I realize I have to get things done by a certain time it motivates me to get more done in a day. Take care!!

Definitely. Deadlines are meant to give us the extra push. With a deadline, we will have more sense of urgency and that helps to push us to work more efficiently and more effectively. I prefer to work under deadlines too as it definitely helps me finish more work within a shorter period of time.

For me I like having more time, I like to try to get as much done in the NOW rather than pushing it out to the deadline because I get too stressed out when I know I have to get something done in a hurry than if I had the time and could have gotten it done sooner. That is just my personality. Also It depends on my mood, for example, I have been working like a dog to get sales and appointments lately, but then I had a possible sale that was a no show and I was having major back pain so I just got so angry and so upset and being that i was in pain I was like "I am done working for the week" So I ignored my computer and did nothing. Even though I have a few leads sitting in there I just did not even bother to call. I will call tomorrow and maybe I will be lucky but I am sure that I won't and frankly I am not too concerned about it. I know that i will have some more work to do, work is always there.
so no I do not like waiting close to deadline I just do not work well that way.

Well I accomplish more if there is a deadline otherwise I keep on doing works which like and those are required to be done on deadlines and I do not like them, I keep on dragging and when the deadline comes I focus on the task without looking here and there and finish it. But somehow that gives a lot of stress.

Deadlines are a very good thing for me. I am terrible about procrastinating about things. I put things off until the last possible minute. Without a deadline I would keep on pushing some things off and they would never get done. If I have a deadline to make I will buckle down and work hard to get it done in time.

I hate putting anything off so deadline or not i get it done and over with as quick as possible. I am always worried that if i don't get it done NOW something will come up and i won't have the time to finish it. My husband is the total opposite, we drive each other nuts!

I don't think I love deadlines but I sure do love to do things when they are nearing deadlines. lolz. It's somehow a pressure but then it gives you that certain kick or urge that you need to finish what you're doing right away. I used to that when I was in college especially writing those endless reaction papers and articles, and believe me, my brain would function twice or thrice its usual state. It's like all these ideas suddenly pop out simultaneously and all you have to do is just arrange and write them right away on your paper.
