| | You have a legitimate gripe, unfortunately, Walmart can only electronically reverse the charges they made on your bank card. The "Bank" is actually the one that chooses how long it takes to put the money back into your account. I think you got of pretty easy, most banks wont remove the high overdraft fees they charge. | | | | | | |

| | I can't stand Walmart! I do everything in my power NOT to go to that store. I've had bad experiences there: stalked by other customers, rude customer service (if you can get someone to help you), can't find an item and they people working there have no idea either! I would make a complaint online. The complaints at the local stores don't get to corporate office so I'd make a complaint on line so it trickles down. You might not see the result, but at least then the store has to take responsibility for their actions. | | | | | | |

| | It never hurts to complain. The customer service lady can't guarnteee the money will go directly back on your card. If it was like on a Sunday when the bank was not open then they don't do their bookwork until Monday and your money would not have been directly on your card. You were right in asking for a gift card and she should have complied it would not have been hard for her to put that money on the gift card and everything would have been fine. | | I had this happen to me once I had bought a new vaccumm cleaner the first time I used it it caught on fire. I took it back to the walmart and told them I wanted a new one but didn't want the same brand they put it back on my debit card but when I went to purchase the new vaccumm the charge wouldn't go through, it took 10 days for the money to get back in my account, and it wasn't my bank it was walmart that did it. They do not credit the money back in the way they take it out. Thank god my bank rejected the charges instead of charging me an overdraft. | | | | | | |

| | well to be honest i have worked for walmart and it takes 7- 10 days for the money to go back on your card. she should of never told you that. personally i would find out her name get my bank statements and go into walmart and throw a fit. i would write them at the main office too. i would throw a big fit to be honest with you. i mean be professional about it but stern too. that rep should of put it on a gift card for you. or told you to get the same things different sizes and bring back up there to switch out. like i said i worked for them i know the way it works. i will be honest if that happened to me i would of been in there throwing such a fit i would of drawn a crowd. i dont work there anymore for a reason lol. the svc is bad and the company has went down hill since mr walmart died and his wife died. when his kids took over everything it is nothing more then another place all the care has left it. it is just a corp store | | | | | | |

| | I am not trying to insult you so don't take this the wrong way. I would never trust a Wal-mart employee. If they really knew how debit cards and the banking system worked they would probably not be working at Wal-mart and have received a proper education. The employee was probably told to tell people that just to get rid of them. If an employee told me that I would have them get the manager because I know it wasn't true. Then I would ask the manager why their employee was lying to me. If the manager did the same, then there would be a problem. I know that something refunded to a debit card is not going to show up before Wal-mart processes their credit card transactions. Usually it is done once a day when they do the closing reports. As you found out it isn't automatically. It will not make a difference but I would complain. I would write letters to everyone above the manager at the store. It does no good to complain to a store manager. You have to go over their head. Make them account for the training they gave the employee that lied to you. | | | | | | |
