The Mormon Quilt  

I have to see the picture first before I responded as i took this discussion from my mail.

Such a beauty! After attaching the batting and the back, and quilting it, you have one happy brother!

When I quilted our bed covers, my hubby was not interested in it. When He sw how much one costs when we went malling, he was surprised that they are really expensive! Huh! They were expensive because i did it even if it took me months to finish one. Sad that now, i seldom sew quilts because i have been too busy with work.

Your quilt is beautiful and he will love it not only for that but the love and time you put into making it for him. That is a time consuming thing to take on for someone.
For me I think I'd like to have one with a castle on it with turrents and all a whole country scene. Trees and horse drawn carrage. I know it sounds silly but I love castles and the country. I have never seen a quilt like that. Since I can't make them anymore I can't make me one. I've never made me one, just everyone else. Now I can't. It's just a thought.

Thank you for the picture of the quilt. I have never seen one like that before and I know your brother will love it and appreciate all the work you did for him. I am not sure what quilt pattern I would like to have off hand, there are so many pretty ones. My grandmother made Little Dutch Girl for me and my mother made a patch work quilt that is from scraps of materials she had left over from sewing over the past many years and that one is special to look at too, so many of the scraps that I can recognize as things she made for herself, my daughter, and myself.

Well I do not know your brother but I know that he will love the quilt. Not so much for the design although it is great, but because you made it for him. It will be something he can cherish and remember you by forever. As for me if I were to design a quilt it would be full of my animals pictures, past and present. As you probably already know I work a lot with animals and all of my children are rescues of some sort of the other. So it would be something that I could look at and remember some of those gone and those present and what they have meant to me.

Hmmmmmm I never seen this temple when I was in St. Louis but was only there A FEW days. my mom now has gone seen alot of them on a tour! We have one here in Las Vegas and one in St George and of course Salt LAke and i have seen those and been to the one in Salt lake. Was going to put a pic herebut I cant find mine to upload and download it

Hi Twoey good for you! it must of been hard reaching that goal but you did it good for you..if I was to make my sister one I would either put a dolphin on one as one loves dolphins or I would put acrystal/s as both my sisters love crystals then put their name on it bright blessings littleowl
