A Not So Cosy Night In For Two   email this discussion to a friend?

Imagine your boyfriend (or girlfriend) had prepared a wonderful night in for just the two of you, you've been waiting to get him alone for months and finally the night has been arranged, and you can't wait! He's gorgeous and he's your dream guy! You get all excited and you turn up at your boyfriends place and he's got everything in, the curtains are closed, it's dark, it's romantic and he wants you on the sofa with him

Getting good hey!

Then as he puts his arm around you, he turns the film on, it's a nasty, horrific, gorey brutal horror film, we are talking blood, guts, the lot!

Think of the goriest film you can think of, ten times worst than Hostel, Saw, Halloween, Friday 13th, you get the picture

Do you snuggle up to him and hide, do you watch it, brave it out or do you get up and tell him you've got to go and go home? Do you scream at him at how insensitive he is, or do you tell him to take you home?

What would be your reaction?

LMAO! I would stay and snuggle in. I have a morbid love for horror movies and would any excuse to snuggle in closer! After the movie, I would watch something else to get my mind off it though!

I can't get enough of horror films myself, I thought of this discussion after watching Hostel 2 late last night!

I'm not sure, wolfie. I might tell my boyfriend that I simply can't bear to watch this and ask that we not watch it. I'd hope to give him the benefit of the doubt instead of being accusatory. If he said that we were gonna' watch it anyway, I suppose that I would leave.

My reaction would be to ask if he has another movie that we could watch since I don't like horror movies. If not cable will do. Or better yet, let's make our own romantic move...lol

Compromise or even better take control and offer a more romantic alternative ;0)

Well everything can't be perfect right? I would just suggest to either turn it off and talk or watch another movie. It wouldn't be something that I would walk away from and call it a night. I don't think I've ever had someone make such an effort so it would be worth staying to find out what is next.whistle

Well, i would be disappointed. It is not what i have expected and it is a just so out of proportion with all the romantic ambiance then a horror movie? I will tell him frankly that i do not want to snuggle up with him on the sofa and watch a scary movie.I would rather, watch an old movie if he doesn't want to watch a romantic movie.Or if he still insists on those movies then i would just go on home.

Talk about killing the moment! Gee I have to be honest I would be annoyed, waited all this time and this is what I get. I would go into the bathroom start up a warm bath, throw in some bubbles, take off my clothes, walk out naked and invite him/her in. If that doesn't work and s/he would still rather watch that tacky movie then I would get dressed and leave. PS - as I pass the coffee table on my way out, I accidentally on purpose spill the freakin popcorn!

I don't think I'd have to say anything, the look he got would be enough. I wouldn't stay or see him again. This answer may have been totally different if I'd been younger and unmarried.

Since I'm not particularly fond of horror movies, I don't think staying and snuggling up would be an option. Unless he opted out of the movie for other things, but he would only get that option once. If he opted for the movie instead of me, I'd be outta there, see ya!

Hello wolfie34

I think I would be very disappointed but wouldn't say anything. It's a good excuse to really snuggle up to him and hide my face. lol
