How many times have you managed to see the typo you made at the last second

Quite often, like most of the time. I suppose I should use preview more often, but when I used to do that, it didn't help much and it messed up my paragraphing.

No Hatley, didn't know. How do you get it to work while working on mylot?

LOL! Bala! I keep committing many typographical errors, while posting my replies in hurry. Many a times, I post a 'corrigendum' to my responses, as soon as I re-read my response and I find that I have committed some mistakes.

An informal way of communication is used in Govt. sector. If there is any amendment which is required to be made in any Govt. letter, the entire letter is not re-written but only a 'Corrigendum' is issued - e.g.
In the forth line of para 1 the following amendment is made:
For - Bala
Read - Deepak
..........
Hope this clears...............the issue........LOL!

This has happened alot to me. I suggested to myLot several months ago to add an edit button. This could be used after the discussion has been posted and the member sees their error. The member would have the authority to change or delete any wording or spelling errors. I did use the preview button when first joining myLot but very often the discussion didn't go through with corrections after changing. Couldn't get this button to work well for me so now I directly go to "post response" and hope I didn't overlook any mistakes.

Unfortunately I seem to work and type way too quickly to see a potential typo before I hit the post button. Drives me nuts, especially here on MyLot, where I can't come back and edit my work.

Hi bala I have seen them so many times and even one response looked like an alien language!!!
it shocked me when I read it and could do nothing about it but to respond back and explain what I meant

Probably too many times that I care to mention it my friend! They stick out don't they like a sore thumb, a flashing beacon and they tease you, it's though the typo is waving and laughing at you because you can't correct it, it knows you are sitting there seething and getting annoyed at yourself because you haven't spotted it, well it until it was too late! Boy I know the feeling here my friend! (carefully re-reads response in case no typo is flashing at him!)

It happened to me a couple of times. After that I hit the submit button I soon realise that I have made a mistake when it is too late. That's why I am in favour that my lot introduces an edit button to review your posting.

hi balasri oh my a yr later but still pertinent.oh yes several
times and the feeling is really helpless ness.I did it in the title of one of my discussions and felt so silly and stupid
and embarrassed too.one wants one's discussion to look good
and be interesting to others, not full of typos.

that is what happen to me just now. I am helpless of how to correct my discussion topic. I have lots of words misspelled.
It is y fault anyway, why I did not preview. I am conscious of my time to accomplish a lot in the house while doing mylot.. and here I go.. lots of mistakes. lol

i agree. this had happened several times to me, and i keep looking for a miraculously hidden "edit" tab. lol.
im so used to forums. :)
now i do things a bit slowly, check my post once before "posting my response". it's troublesome, but its much worse to have a typographical error and being unable to put it to right.
besides, anyway, people dont mind typos too much. it doesnt show taht the poster has made any grammer mistake, just a typo.
happy mylotting, and mylotters dont mind typos. i dont anyway.

Thank goodness for Firefox now, spelling mistakes are reduced. I only need to look out for grammatical errors.
