I started a discussion a while back about my bread always getting moldy. Well one of our mylotters suggested making mini loaves. So I took one loaf of frozen dough...put it on a cookie sheet until it was almost thawed then broke it into three parts and used my little mini pans. The loaf is the perfect size for me..and when company came on night I took one out of the freezer and warmed it just a bit an served it with supper! What a wonderful idea! Just sharing a little successful hint from mylot!

Thank you Jillhill. I can tell my Mom as she has that as well, She goes to town with some other Lady and they split the bread. But my Mom's still get moldy as she doesn't eat much bread. Thank you for sharing. Your friend onlydia.

We don't have that problem in our house. We eat bread all the time. A loaf lasts about a day for us. But I have a big family. That is a good idea though for people that are single.

I love it. I had company again the other night and I popped it in the oven for just a couple of minutes to warm it....oh was it good!

Well that's a good idea! It's a good way to limit your consumption of carbohydrates too! Unfortunately we do not have the problem of moldy bread in this house. I go through 2 - 3 loaves of bread a week. I have 4 children, 1 of whom is a teenager so they eat sandwiches like you would not believe! I love the picture of your bread. It is so cute and small. Is that a saucer it is on? How many slices can you get out of that loaf? Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

It is on a luncheon plate...and I get about six little slices from it. I had company the other night and just popped it in the oven for a few minutes...it was so good. I remember when my kids were all home too! tons of bread we went throught!

Jill, That's an excellent idea. I'll have to look into trying that. I've been meaning to use the mini loaves to make several little meatloafs to freeze for quick dinners. I usually keep a bag of frozen rolls on hand. They can be stored much longer frozen than the ones you buy in the refrigerator cans. You just take what you need for the meal and save the rest for other meals. Thanks for the hint. leenie

Yes....I have made the mini meatloaves too...my daughter in law and granddaughter come over for supper alot without my son as they usually come on nights he has class so if I make meatloaf I make a little one for her to bring home to him....meatloaf is his favorite!

Awesome idea. Thanks for sharing. My husband and I really like toast and sandwiches and bread and butter, but it seems like our loaves of bread always get moldy, too. I am going to try this out.

That sounds like great fun! My children and daycare kids would think that was the most awesome idea ever if everyone could get their own little loaf of bread to take home. I have some mini loaf pans somewhere in the cupboard. I will have to dig them out and start baking some bread for them. Thanks for the tip! I have problems with my bread getting moldy once in a while too.

My granddaughter like it and she is only three....in fact she ate two pieces as they are smaller.....and got mad at Daddy when he ate the last piece.

What a great idea. And now you have the other 2 loaves to use up as you need it. We do keep bread in the fridge only because it will stay fresh longer. Most of the time we buy wheat bread instead of white. My husband is big on eating healthy. If the bread begins to feel a little hard, I microwave it for just a could of seconds to warm it up and softten it up.

I really like this...one night I had company and took out a loaf and warmed it. My regular bread gets old faster then I can eat it.

Hey, that's a great idea! Plus, I like the idea of little loaves of bread. Bet they are cute. I've gotta file that under "really useful ideas." I think I have one loaf of frozen bread dough in the freezer right now. Thanks for sharing.

That sounds like a really good idea. We go through a lot of bread here though. My son takes sandwiches to school almost every day. It would be a cute idea for bread that is special to go along with dinner though. Thanks for sharing the idea.

I used to make mini loaf cakes for my oldest son. My younger son was allergic and couldn't eat cake and no-one else really bothered with sweets so i would make little loafs and freeze them then take one out when Jamie wanted cake (if he wanted frosting on it i would frost it after thawing it out).
