Campbell's Soup

I have heard several references this week to Campbell's Soup. Whether it was that the stock was doing well in this economy or that it is a cheap meal to have.
The funniest thing I saw tonight was during a commercial break on programming on Cartoon Network during their Adult Swim programming. It said the following:
[b][i]"Despite last week’s Market Craptacular…one company actually did pretty well.
Campbell’s Soup
Because there’s nothing like a warm, cheap bowl of soup to soothe your sad and bankrupt little heart."[/i][/b]
I thought that was just hilarious. Even funnier - we had Campbell's Tomato Soup earlier tonight with grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner! Yes, because we are broke! You have to laugh, because otherwise you would cry!

I actually have said something along the lines of that commercial when talking about Campbell's stock.
It's not just campbell's that's benefitting from "cheapfoodatizing"...I keep hearing an economy linked commercial on the radio when we go somewhere about Hamburger helper. "I don't focus alot on gas prices because that's beyond my control, but thanks to Hamburger helper, my family's dinner I can control completely to give my family a good meal."
...I was like "O_O"
And you're exactly right, you gotta laugh so you don't cry at things like this...especially when it hits so close to home!
Actually, my family can't afford real hamburger helper. We buy offbrands! Lmao.

Campbell's makes a good product at a pretty good price, so why shouldn't it do well? Other products should take a clue from them and make quality affordable!
I love tomato soup, but usually buy generic soups. They're not quite as good as Campbell's but I save a lot, sometimes $.25-$.50 per can!

I remember growning up having that meal. Now I have graduated to raman noodles and grill cheese sandwiches. BUT I only get real cheese not the imitation "Cheese food" LOL

Mmmm...mmmm...good! Isn't that the saying or slogan for Campbell's Soups? That is so true. It is so sad and so true. What ever happened to coming home from a hard day's work to a nice steak and baked potato? This is so sad...
