It's not really being talked about as a racist thing, but it is kinda disrespectful to point to the side while looking away, and saying "that one" did something, instead of using his name and looking at him directly. It goes hand in hand with McCain's seeming inability to look at Obama at ALL in the first debate--just kind of a dismissive attitude. Not acknowledging/respecting your opponent. That kind of thing.

Think about this: if Obama had done that instead of McCain, do you have any doubt there would be an explosion of pseudo-outrage from the right?

The McCain campaign isn't the ones that paint Obama as some kind of messianic cult figure. Have you seen the "Obama Youth" videos? Have you been to an Obama campaign rally?

Obama supporters are the ones who have made him some kind of messianic cult figure.

Yes, his detractors have taken the status his supporters have given him and used it against him, but that is to be expected.

As I said, yes Obama's opposition is more than willing to use Obama's cult of personality against him, this is a perfect example of that. However, unless you are trying to say that all the Obama supporters who do see him as some kind of messia are just following McCain's lead, then you are the liar... which you are.

The only ones acting like Obama is a "messiah" are opponents trying to demonize his hard-earned support. They literally attack Obama for being popular, one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of.

There's a reason this avenue of attack isn't being used anymore--McCain figured out how worthless it is. I suggest you do the same and stop trying to resuscitate old, failed smears. It just makes your candidate look worse for it, and that's really the last thing he needs now.

Yes, people get mad when you lie about their candidate.
