I am filling my part time position at work and training on my full time. I will work twelve hours several days, as a result. No internet time on the job. In addition, there is Thanksgiving, and trying to clean for Christmas company. I will miss being here so much. What are your holiday plans? Will they limit your time online?

Well I hope you have a wonderful time, even if you are working, hopefully you will be doing a job or jobs you enjoy. We always host Thanksgiving here. So I will likely be cleaning all day Wednesday, and cooking all day Thursday, and then Friday we will be putting up our Christmas tree, and possibly puttin the lights on the house, provided the weather is cooperative. It will be a busy, but hopefully wonderful few days. You have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We may be away for Thanksgiving. Not for certain just yet. I have to discuss it with my daughter. She lives 3 hours north of us. With all that has happened in the past few weeks I would just like to stay close to home. Maybe I can convince my daughter to come down.

That would be nice for you if you could get her to come visit you over the Thanksgiving holiday.

I, too, will be spending less time here as Christmas approaches. We are heading for summer so there is spring cleaning and as I'm having my family to stay for several days there is a lot of preparation to be made. It's hard to do a lot each day because it becomes very hot here...you have to pace yourself. I may be doing some volunteer work next year which will also reduce my time here. Wishing you the joys of the season.

What type of volunteering will you be doing. It is very satisfying to give to others that way. I may wish to visit you and enjoy the heat, we are beginning to have our cold weather.

The work involved driving people to various appointments. We are a remote community and many folk do not have transport means. However, I have been into town to sign up and they were too busy to see me so I'm thinking they have decided to have less drivers than they mentioned when I put my hand up.

Oh, I will pop in, just not for hours at a time. I got my first twelve hour shift out of the way. I was spoiled to having two days mid week completely off work. I will enjoy doubling my income, though.

So you'll be having no ting for Mylot i think... Twelve hours? That's a long day for you. I'm having a client in the office now that I also have no time for Mylot. I'm planning to spend most of the time out of the house shopping for gifts for y friends and family. I'm also busy taking care of my pet dog. I hope I'll be able to give even a short time everyday in Mylot. :)

Hi GardenGerty. I don't know what I am doing for the holidays, yet. I had my hours cut down a little earlier this year and some of my expenses have gone up, so money's a little tight. On the good news I now know what was causing all those horrible health problems I've been having, but the bad news is that I might have to add a monthly prescription bill to all my other expenses as I can't afford insurance.
I am keeping an eye open for small jobs that I can do to make ends meet, so that might mean I will be on the computer less, too. I don't mind, I am kinda getting tired of being on the computer my whole day anyway.

Well, I hope you get your health straightened out. I hope if you need a prescription that it might be the one Wal Mart does cheaply.

Well, as always, I will be spending more time with my mom and once my sister and uncle get to town, I will also be spending time with them.
I can only hope I can get some time to do mylot too, but I'm expecting to get behind, unless everyone else is to busy to start lots of discussions!
We'll be spending the time with family probably mostly either at mom's or my brother's place, but I still have to work my job too!

No real rest for the wicked, right? Work is work and it pays the bills. Enjoy your family time, though.

I cannot resist being here just a little, but it just won't be the same as when I can spend hours here. Look at me, I worked twelve hours today, and cooked for hubby before I left. I cannot stay away.

Have a wonderful time in Virginia. I am residential staff support for the adult disabled. I have worked almost two years with some fairly independent clients, but it is only part time evenings. I now will work with an autistic adult young man, two days a week, a downs syndrome, diabetic youngish man two days a week. One day a week I will work at day services, and I will be off evenings and weekends . . . eventually. Right now I am working day hours and evening hours and weekend hours. Whooosh.

First I would like to congratulate you on filling the part time position.
Next if I don't see or hear from you I would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.
I will miss seeing you around.
My hours has changed also and I am limited on the computer because of that.
Right now I have no plans for the holidays I am sure some will come up in the next couple of days.

I plan to stay home more than usual and write Xmas cards and putter around, do a little sewing, and cleaning and generally being domestic. It is not that I am much of a domestic sort of person, but things are getting a bit behind. I want to end the year all neat and organized. Enjoy your training. The hours are long, but hopefully it will be worth it.
