Non-Stop Headaches and eye aches

I have not been to the eye doctor in several years. I really need to make an appointment. I know my glasses are not the right prescription. I am sure mine have gotten worse since I was last there.

I hope your headaches/eye aches go away hon. Those are so painful. I've had the Optomap done before. I like it because there's no pain or puffs of air involved. LOL. I need to go to the eye doctor. It's past time for my yearly eye exam. The doc told me last year that he could pretty much guarantee that I would be wearing bifocals very soon, so I'm not too thrilled about going in this time. Plus he's going to be on me about not having my eye surgery done yet. But I already had one surgery this year....and one a year is enough for me thankyouverymuch. LOL

Mine have also gotten better...after the last time I went I wore my glasses for a few days and one morning woke up to see the roses on the lamp next to my bed....I probably could have before but suddenly realized I could see them....so my eyesight closer is getting better....I have trifocals....it's hard to find the right spot sometimes though. Hope you get rid of your headaches!

Glad to hear your headaches aren't tooo serious and should get better with the new glasses. I've never heard of Optomap, but the my eyes aren't really bad so I tend not to visit the optician too often.

I have been lucky enough to always have 20/20 vision. But after the birth of my first son 5 years back I found that I was battling with night driving and went to get my eyes checked. It seems I still have good vision, but am having trouble with bright lights blinding me. The light seems to bleed out from the centre and can be quite distracting when driving.

Upshot of this is that I have been given transitional glasses which 'dampen' the bright lights but in all honesty, do very little else and I actually find my vision clearer without the glasses than with them ... which means I hardly ever wear them! I am supposed to wear them for computer work, TV and night driving mainly.

I am glad you went and got checked out...

My eyes are getting worse..I have a stigmatism in both and they seem to be getting worse..my last check up was over a year ago..

I need to go back in and get the glasses I know I need, but do not want...smiles....

I am sure your headaches will go away once your new glasses come in...

It has been a while, but I only needed glasses for night driving. Last time I went to renew my license and they did the vision test I passed with flying colors and the took the eyeglass restriction off of my glasses. So it seems as if my vision has improved, I see fine without any type of eye wear, at least for now, I am very grateful for that, I hope I never have to, but I know that is highly unlikely. The new test equipment sounds really cool though.

I haven't been to the eye-guy for a while. Having MS, I can't trust what my eyes are doing from day to day anyway.

My right eye has RETRO BULBAR NEURITIS which makes me legally blind in that eye. What this does is an atrophy of the optic nerve at the back of the eye. This is medically irreversable. And I suppose that if I actually got at it, I could believe for a miracle. I have had a bunch before. But right now I'm bad because this condition is convenient. That sounds dumb I know. But it works out well for taking care of my little Jason.

Well Grandpa, I hope that changing your glasses made your headaches go away. My eyes have gotten some better also... but haven't changed my glasses yet. I can tell they have changed a bit though. I can see the TV at night without my glasses and I can see it pretty clearly. My problem is astigmatism. I have my share plus everyone else's share.

Have you fallen latley? because my brother fell on his head once and has the same things and he had sculy gotten a concusion...
