Is money the root of all evil?

I sure agree with you, the greed of people are the cause of poverty and famine in the world. Rich people have power and the richer they are the more money they want, no matter the consequesnces on other people....

It is not the money but people's greed to have more and more of it which is evil.

Money is an object it is not the root of anything and for those who love to quote scripture it never said money was the root of evil but that the"""( love )of money """is what becomes evil if one puts it first in their lives

I think that money like everything else, is not evil but what is done with it can be. I think that when it comes to greed and alowing it to be like a God to someone then it is evil. I think when any money is used for evil, its bad and when money is used for good its then good.

Hello ronaldinu, I agree with you that if money is distributed wiely then our world will be free of poverty and a lot of problems but iffffff. In this world where people even don't help their family members, this thing is quite impossible and no one will give money to others without getting any thing in return..

So yes money can be thought of as the root of evil but I think the main root of evil is Power. People mostly do evil things for power while money plays a role in it. Anyways both terms are inter-related and both brings evil in the world..

No ronald, just many people that have money can be evil. lol Some people with money are great they don't even act as though they are rich beyond my dreams. Others are pure evil in their wealth.

I think that it is more the lack of money that is the root of much evil and next to that is the NEED to have more that is the next problem.

Love, money and power are the three things that can cause much havoc in the world, do you not agree?

Hi ronald...no money is not the root of all evil...the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. You are quite right to say that if we all had money then it would be better, we wouldn't have too struggle and our bills etc would be paid it would be brilliant, but unfortunatley it is not so but it is the love of money and greed that is the root of all evil, it can ruin your life and it doesn't always bring the happiness you would like...littleowl

yes most of it has money is a bad person.because they can buy whatever they like even buying life or ordered a person to kill someone he or she dont like.so i rather have no money live happily and clean mind
