If faith is so important, then why did Jesus appear before his disciples?

There is absolutely no scientific proof that Jesus ever existed in Palestine some 2000 years ago. Archaeologists have been working feverishly for many years trying to be the first person ever to unearth positive proof of His life. Its very mystifying if he did exist, because there were several learned authors and scribes who kept records and wrote about life in that time and era, but not one word has ever been found, not even a partial inscription on a broken pot shard. The facts remain that no matter how much Faith you have, there is very little chance that Jesus ever lived at all.

Define Faith? And you have your answer my friend!

Jesus appearance before his disciples after resurection is not because they dont believein his promise but,because he is just fulfilling the will of His father God.He is completing his task on this earth. Bible says whosoever seeks God truly with all their hearts they'll find him, that he promise to each one of us.Same as with faith if we really seek and meditate on his word,we can develop our faith.

everybody needs to have faith in jesus or in god.imagine,where all the people came from?who made the trees?who made the animals and everything here on earth.it's unexplainable.but all i know is there's god.theres miracle and only god can do that.i have faith in god.thers a reason why jesus appeared before his diciples.everything has a reason.

I think there are different definitions of faith.

I see it this way. Faith comes from having received enough evidence or proof. As an example, a faithful friend becomes such because they have proved that they are are dependable and trustworthy.

So Jesus needed to prove that he was resurrected and so he appeared enough times, once even appearing to about 500 people at one time. Now, without any doubt as to his resurrection they could take the message to the ends of the earth and even sacrifice their lives. And most of them did sacrifice their lives because of their solid faith in the resurrection.

Just the way I see things!

Well, I guess no matter what the point is, it depends upon the person who believes..
if you ought to keep your faith then, good for you.. just in case you don't, think again... LOL

faith is also believing in god without questioning his behaviour after all, god always works in mysterious ways, he may sometimes help the cruel and be totally oblivious to the persecution of the poor and the innocent, we cannot fathom any of god's behaviour. somethings are best left unanswered. but I'm sure you will find the answer to that in the hereafter.

Do you think Jesus appeared after he rose from the dead because the disciples' have no faith? No, you are wrong. The disciples were gathered in that room because they already have faith that Jesus will do just as what he said. No one of them have ever witnessed seeing someone risen from the dead and yet they were there awaiting, hanging on to Jesus' words. That is faith in action.

As for Saul, it is just a blinding light and a voice that he heard. The voice commanded Saul to go to a certain place and he obeyed - again, an act of faith. Saul could have chosen to ignore the voice and claim that the bright sun light have blinded him but he believed that the voice and the light is Jesus, the Christ.

From the above mentioned happenings, you will see how that faith was their first even before the events took place. That's how important faith is. Anyway, as @1hopefulman has explained, Jesus' appearance after resurrection is but to teach the disciples more and aflame the faith that they already have.

unto those who had seen the grave that Jesus Christ was buried in, there was proof that He resurrected. His body was no longer there in the early hours of the following morning after the burial. it was opened, the stone was removed from the mouth of the grave and there was no body in there at all.

then, those who went there saw an angel who informed them of what has happened.

unto those who had seen the risen Jesus Christ, there was proof that indeed He had risen from the dead. unto those who had seen Him went up to the heavens above, there was proof that He was really off to be reunited with the Father in heaven.

but Jesus Christ was seen only by a few. there are millions and billions more who haven't. unto those who have never had the personal encounter with the Lord, it takes unmoving faith in order to believe that all of these have happened.

There is two kinds of faith. There is blind faith and then there is true faith. Blind faith is based on whey you have been told and true faith is based on absolute fact. Blind faith will fail you right when you need it most and true faith will not. If you have seen God do something then you have true faith that he can do it again. For the Apostles to be able to do what they had to their faith had to be based on fact, not what they were told. Jesus gave them the facts they needed. Today most people are only being told and they know very little as absolute fact. Blind faith is all they have.
