LOL. It's not the stump that's bothering me Mike. But the trunk, branches etc that no matter how I attack them, just don't want to go away. I like the idea of a piggy or two though. Problem is that The Boss would never let me eat them.

You have all the fixings for a great bon fire Steve. And I don't think the boss is against you eating them as much as she is against you cleaning them out there.

If you stack that wood now though, by fall you will have the wood you need to have a really good pig roast outside.

I do have a fireplace - three in fact. I do intend to keep some of the main wood for burning, but it's the smaller stuff that taking the time. My neighbour does have a wood burner so I guess that I could offer him some if I get fed up. Good idea.

It was an ornamental cherry. I have lots of them and they re mostly where I don't want them to be. Like weeds, which are just flowers in the wrong place. They have spiky ends too that will take your eye out if they can! It was starting to push the fence down and grow over his fence and conservatory.

I think that you mentioned that plant before. I have a fuscia too, but that is behaving itself. I did think about THAT line of the song, but I knew someone would make a comment. LOL.

As I am a bit of a Python fan I couldn't help but comment! Yes I started a discussion about it a while ago asking if anyone new of an effective way of killing it off as you can see, I have been unsuccessful. I do like fuscia and Ihave another one but this one is right in the way where the boys play and attracts lots of bees in the summer! I have a lovely small statue holding a lamp waiting to go in it's place!

Not that kind of cherry Ellie. This is an ornamental one. Quite pretty in spring but the rest of the time a nuisance. I have lots of them. They spring up all over.
