What have you all been up to while I was away?

As some of my myLot friends have noticed, I have been offline pretty much for a month or so, and missed the conversations here, so although I'm not quite back in circulation, I'd like for those of you who see this discussion to please bring me up to date of what has been happening with you and myLot in my absence.
If you are not already on my friend list you are most welcome to reply too and say what is new with you anyway. It is a good way to meet new myLottians.
As I get replies I will try to fill in a bit on news from my end, too. I hope I get lots and lots of comments from old friends and new alike.

I went offLOT for about a month too, drannhh. And just started getting back to myLotting at the start of this month. And have found out that most have gone offline around and about the same time as well. What is up with February anyway?
I am happy to see you back, drannhh.

Fate is a concept embraced by those who do not realize that they are the masters of their own destinies. I am not one of them.
I had been deliberately ignoring the invitation to worry and stress out about my finances because I know that you only get more of what you put your attention on. Instead I had been relaxing into the feeling well-being... imagining what it would feel like to have a sense of security, and practicing that feeling diligently for days when the knock came on my door.
When the lady who owns the store showed me the flyer for the job I was inclined to ignore it because they said that they were looking for people who could lift heavy boxes and be on their feet for long periods of time and that did not appeal to me in the slightest... I have gotten very used to doing whatever I want whenever I want to do it. The only reason that I went ahead and called them was because the feeling of the unfolding situation matched exactly the feeling of security that I had been deliberately cultivating.
My intuition was proved right when I called them and the voice at the other end of the line said "We have already hired everybody we need for here in the office, now we are looking for somebody to work out of their own home." Hahahahahahaha, yeah, that'll work!

Well, I am glad you find something you enjoy that could help with the "bills". And yes, it is very amazing how opportunity would leave you a note... maybe it wasn't opportunity, maybe it was fate?
Come back whenever you can, drannhh.

As you know that we are still grieving my uncle's demise and haven't been much around. But whenever I did I looked for my friends, specially YOU and SISI. Both of you were missing. I missed you dear.
Right now, I am bogged down with office work and politics and wish to leave everything and settle down in the Himalayas....

Yes, I have missed you my friend! Glad to see you back here.
I've been away for a while myself, as we have just moved to a new house, so I've been very busy getting things sorted out at the new place. Also, we only have dial-up until next week when we will be back on Broadband, so I haven't been on the computer much as it is so slooooow!
Anyway, nice to see you back with us again!

Abbey, we are in a new place, too! For several weeks I did not have a computer here or a connection but now we are on broadband again. I am away pretty much though. So glad you checked in here. Will you be uploading any photos of your new home?

Ah... my friend, I have been away for even longer than you have. I'm glad that as I come back I find your discussion first :)
I have been quite busy in my"real " world life. Have been helping hubby in a project and also took another position teaching language after school because things were a bit stressed since they cut my regular hours.
Other than that, nothing else really new in the arkaf world. Just the regular stuff with the kids and life in general.
Hugs to you

I was wondering where you have gone off... i just concluded that you and your husband are away for a vacation... well... i was not that active here in mylot for the past weeks... been busy with work... but there were some technical problems here... like slow page loading... and images getting uploaded to a different response and comments...
And there were also a lot of active members who got banned... i don't know why... but most of them just created a new account and they are active again...
Hope to see more of you here really soon...

Boy it seems like everybody has been gone! I haven't been around much myself, but it's because I just got so bored with MyLot that I couldn't even stand to come here except only briefly every now and then.
I have had to cut my hair which was a major traumatic experience for me. I got a very fun new job... which is almost impossible to do up here in these mountains! And I discovered Paul McKenna (thanks to a fellow MyLotter) and have been REALLY enjoying myself with a few of his CDs. And that is it for me - except for a bunch of mundane trivia that I'm sure you will do fine without hearing all about, hehehehe.

I really haven't been here all the much in the last few months. So, I don't know what's up with everyone either. A whole mess of my friends no longer post here. Just recently, a few friends have started to post again and I have been answering their discussions. I haven't posted anything new in at least two months.

I have pretty well been away at the same time. I am at work a lot. It is a stimulating and demanding job. I was also trying to respond to both MyLot and Gather, and I could not do both well, so I am now concentrating on MyLot. I hope you got lots of responses as well, so that we can get updated on you.

I hope your friend is doing better and that you found a suitable place with no stairs.

Yes, I am holding out for more responses, lol. Well, I was visiting a friend in the hospital and stayed overnight for a week. That was an adventure. Then I went househunting as my friend cannot climb stairs for a while and could not househunt while in the medical facility. I looked at places with no stairs. Both of my condos have stairs so my friend will not be able to visit me at home at present.

Ann! So good to see you. I have to admit though that I haven't been around much in the last month myself. It's just the last few days that I've been trying to get back into circulation and doing some catching up.
Hope you're doing well and glad you're back

Hi there, welcome back! Glad to see your post around here. There are quite a few changes for me lately and one of the biggest one would be that I finally have my own recruitment consultancy firm. I started on Monday and time flies, it's been a week now *laughs*. So far so good. Let's catch up shortly!

It is always busy, I don't think I've updated you much at all lately! I have been away from mylot for a long time too doing different things as usual.
Haha, let's see...baby #3 is due at the end of June...so I am getting fat, but its a good fat I guess :) That's the biggest and most surprising news I can think of!
We are thinking of starting our garden soon also, though we have to figure out what to do about our usual pests of groundhogs and deer - last year our poor plants didn't stand a chance.
That's really all about it - I try to peak in on mylot once in awhile but it hasn't been much of a priority lately - so it's just nice to catch up with everybody and think about some new/different things from time to time!

I was the 3rd baby in my family but chose to have none of my own. Your 3rd is indeed big and surprising news. Mmmm, gardening. We have lots of cute wild bunny rabbits at our new place and so all my gardening will be indoors and/or up high:-) That is OK with me as I've never liked dirt gardening. The stuff I grow in water continues to amaze me though. Until last week we were still getting tomatoes from a vine I planted in August of 2008. I kept it in a quart jar and wound the branches around and around, but when I unwound them to measure, the longest section was 25 feet! Here is a photo of some of the little unripe tomatoes that I picked off before tossing the vine:
