Do you like it when people ask your age?

I don't really mind when people ask my age. I always avoid asking people's ages cause I know that some people can be offended by it, and I don't want to be rude, but it doesn't really bother me when people ask mine. I am still pretty young, so I don't think much of it, but maybe it will start to bother me more once I am getting older!

It doesn't really matter to me, I'm at a point in my life where people usually guess my age correctly and don't have to ask (or they'll assume I'm anywhere from 17-22, which is fine by me). It's interesting to see the stereotypes people make for certain age groups, though - a lot of people who recognize that I'm in college usually ask me why I'm not a party animal (like a lot of my classmates), and I just laugh - age isn't a characteristic, it's just..an age.*shrugs*

I have to admit it, I am old too. I am 30, and I certainly don't like anybody ask about my age a bit. Because I am also an age - aware person, and I shy from telling everybody about it. So what, I am old, and I still happy.

I hate it only when people try abuse my age and similar informations.

I will turn 44 this year in less than three weeks. Age is simply a number. Some who are older act much more immature than many 18 year olds and some that are 18 act much more mature than those who are 44. I just don't think it is polite for anyone to ask someone their age, even on job applications that is a big no-no. You can't even ask for birthdates, but you can ask someone to prove that they are over 18 years old if they are applying for a job. I feel young and old at my age. Mentally, I feel like I am 20. Physically, I feel older than my 44 years. If I could pick any age and choose to stay that age, it would be 25! I really don't mind if somebody asks me my age, because I think I look younger than my 44 years would indicate.

Now I am beginning to despise people who ask how old I am. Why ask when you see the condition of my skin and the shape of my figure is a full proof that I am no longer a spring chicken. Isn't it rude to ask a woman's age. Common sense only tells that the external appearance of any women will tell of her age and why should it interest anyone to know the real age.

Your just a youngen, I'm the olden. I am 47 yrs. old, sometimes I feel young and other times I feel old. Then when I think of people much older then I, I know to them I am just a youngen. To answer your question, no I rarely ask people their age. I don't mind when people ask me, I am amazed by how fast the years go by, its hard for me to believe that I am that old already. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was in high school.

Well, my lord no one ever knows my real age. When someone asks me my age i will say "579 and a half the second Tuesday next week. At least it gets me a laugh. No one needs to know my age. Who cares?? I mean Im not gonna marry them or anything. lol . You're 28. your a year younger than me. Least thats what my boys used to think. They though I was 29 for years and years. lol Hugs to my favorite Lord.

I really don't mind when being asked my age it truly is just a number. If wisdom and knowledge represented age then there would certainly be some people looking a lot younger than they are and vice versa. Being 26 and the father of two children myself I can understand where you are coming from people seem to ask your age just to justify there opinions of you. I have learned not let that get to me people will always be nosy and opinionated, so I guess it up to the individual to decide how to deal with it.
