I have not been outside for a nice long walk in months. Mostly due to the4 snow and cold. Well Sunday evening the wife and I went for about a 2 or 2 1/2 mile walk. Let me tel;l you, after not doing this for sometime my calf and thigh muscles are killing me. Monday I woke up, stood up, and nearly fell over from the sore muscles. Today (WED) they are still sore, but bearable and what not. Have you ever waqlked so much at one time that your muscles huirt like the dickens? Do you walk often? If not what do you do for exercise? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Sometimes we do to the Ginza Building for shopping,sometimes we go to see the people dancing .We always have a long waly for about 2 hours .During our walk,we talk and laugh, we talk about what fun we see and we always laugh loudly . for us,it is the happies and relaxed time . We can ignore the hard work and the unpleasant happened during the day .This is only one time belong to us, and we enjoy it . having a walk is good for our healthy,so we will stick on our walk!

After that, every day i walked in the jogger machine every day.I used my head phone to listen song when i was walked in the jogger.

54. Darkwing (7519) | 10 months ago | I used to walk seven miles every day, Grandpa Bob, and now I have a knee problem, I can't walk nearly as far. However, I love to do it, so a walk shorter distances... not every day, but whenever I can. I feel so unfit!!!! Not only do your muscles ache for days but your breathing isn't as easy! In fact, when your muscles ache that much, you should try to do a little walking every day until the pain eases, as it's only due to the fact that you're suddenly exercising different muscles again, and with regular use, they'll be as right as rain.

We have been walking at the local park some lately. My hip hurts afterwards. It will until I get back used to exercising more. I'm also doing my new Wii, and loving it!

56. guybrush (3507) | 9 months ago | I have been taking a 30 minute walk every day (or night) for the past 8 years or so. At the moment I enjoy going in the evening, because there's a good quiz on the radio which I can listen to on my way around. Plus, you can smell all the lovely dinners cooking - hahaha! The walking hasn't done any good towards losing weight whatsoever - but I like to think it's keeping my heart healthy. I can't jog or run, though - and uphill is always a battle!

Well, last week I started up with my walking again and boy did I hurt! I'm only doing every other day right now because I'm still too busy with taxes, but after next week, it's back to 3+ miles a day during the week and 5+ on the weekends. I gotta get ready for my 3-day walk in October!
