i don't mind them when i was young. but now, it's a little different. i know there are bargain stores that sell second hand clothes but there's something quite eerie that i fear with the history of those clothes. nothing brutal. it's just that i have this belief like that in feng shui that the vibes or a person is always left on his possessions.

Well....there is a thrift store in town and I have bought some 2nd hand clothes before. Did not have a thought of any eerie thing like the vibes of a person or anything like that but just enjoyed wearing the clothes and the cheap price. In fact nowadays I go to this thrift shop to find clothes. Some are still really in good condition and branded. So I save a lot.

I have bought some second hand clothes but am picky in the ones I buy. Alot of times you can find clothes in a thrift shop that are not really used, the person just didn't like them and got rid of them. I always wash them good as soon as I get them home. I don't see that they are much different than buying new ones that several people have tried on. It can really save you alot of $$s, and your money goes alot further, particularly for work clothes if you change jobs, or for church dresses you dont wear often.

I know, curiosity killed the cat -- but I actually like getting things second hand for the reason that a person leaves a bit of their energy, their lives with their clothing. I'm a writer...and a very intuitive person, so I tend to like to sample new "feelings" I get from certain days, people, situations, places, etc. Even more do I like to experiment by trying to see if I can find the most memorable feelings, or "vibes" as you say, on a later date. I guess I'm always fine-tuning to a fault, really. Second hand's always cheaper, and I refuse to buy a pair of jeans for twenty bucks when I can get twenty of them for a dollar or two.

Wearing second hand clothes of siblings is ok with me but buying and wearing I do not think I can do it. May be the person who had earlier might be having some skin problem.

i have this belief like that in feng shui that the vibes or a person is always left on his possessions I believe that we leave a residue of ourselves on our things but it doesnt go so deep with me that washing the clothes first (which I always do) doesnt take care of it...I NEVER buy clothes, new or used, and NOT wash them first.

I dont really think about the clothes I am wearing. I do wonder when I am wearing somthing really original that I might bump into the person who had it before me. I dont shop at thrift stores because it is my only option. I shop there because I dont want to get to the point it is my only option. I want my money to go as far as it will go so I can put any extra where it will help later. To me I am wearing the clothes so they are me, not the person who had them first.

I guess I don't believe in feng shui and am always thankful when a friend hands some clothes down to me. especially when i was expecting and could do with an expanded wardrobe, both in terms of variety and room aruond the waist! haha. it's great to reuse and recycle. best when there are a bunch of friends we can circulate maternity clothes aroudn with.

i dont have a problem with buying clothing from a second hand store. I do however only buy tops and pants, skirts, dresses - never swimsuits, bras, undies or anything personal like that. I also make sure i wash them before i wear them - you never know if the store washed them or not before putting them out and how many others pawed through the things before they were purchased.
