I am sorry to say that I think there will be a lot of crying before he is finished ruining out country.

OMG what if 0bama were deliberately seeking out evangelicals to fill posts? There would be a massive outcry from liberals...and yet they are silent when he seeks out those who make Fred Phelps look like a Grateful Dead devotee.

I don't know how anyone who pretends to care about women's rights could even think of negotiating the the Taliban. I don't think anyone else in the history of the world has treated women worse than them. The whole reason Afghanistan's literacy rate is 28.1% is that half the population isn't even ALLOWED to learn to read. In the US the majority of those TEACHING people to read are women.

I think a SMART President would fill job openings based on the QUALIFICATIONS of the individuals, NOT on their race or religion.

In all fairness, I don't see how you can say that "few" are evil. When the largest Muslim nations support terrorists, it qualifies as more than few. Just look at Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Libya. You can also look at the number and size of Muslim terrorist organizations like al Quaeda, Hamas, and Hezbollah. No other ethnic or religious group has terrorism in such numbers. I can't definitively say the majority of Muslims feel this way, but you can't possibly call all these groups and governments "some evil few".

Kitty, you seem to forget that HE wasn't elected becuase of his qualifications. He has none for the office he now holds.

And Crivas, we base actions on a few because THOSE ARE THE ONLY ONES WE HEAR FROM!! We haven't heard ONE 'peaceful' muslim on the news ANYWHERE condemning the actions of the evil few. And considering that what we DO hear is that they want to kill us....what are we SUPPOSED to think?! That they want to give us puppies and flowers? Sheesh!

Ramoth what an excellent point we all know why Obama became president and it certainly was not because of his qualifications. Now he is surrounding himself with tax evaders and looking for Muslims to back them up.

That is a good point. I've heard "a few" Muslims publicly condemn terrorist actions like 9-11, but I've heard far more support them. Even in Kuwait the plurality of those surveyed, almost 40%, said the 9-11 attacks were justified. If it weren't for us they'd have been a suburb of Baghdad.

I agree with you cooler. I've heard of many peaceful muslims condemning the terrorist acts of the "evil few", both in our media and from talking to muslim friends. I think it's definitely a case of the US media being particularly unrepresentative and not seeking out a majority of muslims who would never condone terrorist activity.

I am confused as to why hiring people is a red flag. What proof do you have that they are not qualified? Religion is a strong issue in the United States I understand this. But I think what he is doing is for the betterment of the World as well as the USA. You don't hear from the peaceful Muslims, because they are more scared of the Taliban then you are. Living right there with them. I know several refugees from Afghanistan, that fled because of the taliban regime, they have absolutely nothing nice to say about those people at all. Be sure to look at every side of an issue before you go calling something the death of a nation. You will see in the end the USA will win. And it will be because of these tactics. And if you think that because he is Black and Muslim you have something to worry about, I feel very sorry for you all. That is not the American way. I always thought the American way was about FREEDOM and EQUALITY for all, no matter their race, gender, or religious views, but you guys have proved your constitution wrong many times over.

I think hiring based on qualifications is essential, otherwise how would the company evaluate an applicant without those qualifications. It is always the same, Muslim people have spoken out and condemned the acts of others that behaved in an unIslamic manner. Why are they not heard? I will tell you why, because the media does not give a fig about the majority of Muslims who desire peaceful relations and only care about reporting on the acts of the evil as it is more sensational and sells more books, magazines, papers, whatever. Moral Muslims are boring to the media, this is why we are not heard. Thank you and May the Creator bless you and guide you to the right and correct information.

Well he's already tried cozying up to Ahmadinijead, and that failed miserably. All it lead to was him being accused of INSULTING Iran and they subsequently demanded apologies for things that the US was and was not responsible for going back over 50 years, before either leader was born.
