No snow here, so not really an issue. Hm, note to self, must have husband put awning back up so we have shade in the backyard! :-)

Is the snow going to damage your patio furniture? I almost started too early with the plants as well but the weather here is always up an down so you just never know what to expect.

I am sorry to hear about that...but I am a late person on this so I would say that is better than being early...LOL, as it is we go to a local farmers market and buy our plants that we will be planting for the year about a week before memorial day....then we do all our planting and arranging and making things look good that weekend.... WHICH IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE WEEKEND!!!!

as it is we are going up to 58 today, but it rained yesterday and over the weekend so everything is soaked out there and we need a good week or two to clear up the small river behind our garage!!

When i'm absolutely DYING for spring (you guys have way earlier spring than we do) i tend to start plants indoors and start locating my "summer stuff" i also tend to stop wearing socks.

I have to wait atleast another month if not month and a half before i can consider planting my garden...and you only plant if the ice is off the lakes here!

I tend to wait too long! Although I'll be planting some seeds in my biodegradable pots this week so I can plant them in May. We usually get frost in mid to late April so I don't dare put them out before that.

It's hard to believe it's snowing up there! I hope you have warm and sunny days very soon!

we have the most beautiful hexagonal shaped gazebo. its got netting sides that can be hooked back, its got lights and its gorgeous, but have we ever sat out in the sun in it, have we heaven and hell!!!. we get lovely sunny weather, and while i'm at work my husband puts the gazebo up. From then on we either get a howling gale or endless rain!!!and the gazebo ends up as hidey hole for my cats. and talking of horrible weather, every year we used to go away in our caravan for easter.every year it rained, and we used to laugh about the bad weather. but then one year it rained endlessly and we were squelching about in mud. even the poor old dog was covered in mud. it was then i put my foot down, very squelchily i might add, and said no more easter breaks in the caravan. But we live in hope buying this garden furniture and still occasionally we might get a little bit of sunshine. As for plants in the garden, i have gone mad again this year and bought loads of shrubs and bedding annuals,i have some really beautiful daffodils, but they are in containers and i keep shifting them about so they dont get too windswept. i have also planted vegetable seeds, put them in the cold frame, but not a peep out any of them !!

We have had some lovely weather this week, last week it was freezing and this week it has been really warm and in the 60s. It is very deceiving because I always think that it is here to stay and it never does! I think the only mistake I have made so far this spring is to plant some bulbs, I think I may have put them in too early but I guess time will tell.

Sometimes but I can't blame you! I am itching to get some things done in my yard too...plant some flowers and a couple of trees.....and this weather is getting on my last nerve!

its still going to snow you know gb, sorry to burst your bubble :-) april is usually an up and down month, weather wise. we havent had snow since sometime in february but it has been cold and other days it has been warm. monday we had a windchill of -5, friday its supposed to be +12! crazy! good luck :-)
