Do you prefer Body wash or a bar of Soap?

It works for me every time.

I use to itch after a bath when I used soap but I didn't know it was the soap.

I like the kinds that lather up. I also use bubble bath in my water.

I never thought about the atmosphere affecting the skin. I'm sure that plays a part too.

It is also the mineral content of the water that determines how well certain soaps do for you. I did use Tone bar soap with cocoa butter with good results when I was in college, and also Dove. Zest made me have red bumps all over my body.

GardenGerty is absolutely right on the mineral content of the water. THAT is so true! And I remember that for some time in Texas, every time I came out of the shower, my eyes would be red as beets... CHLORINE!
Tone bar-soap is the only thing some people can use.

Hey girl. I thought all soaps worked about the same. I guessed I just learned something here. I never tried Dove or Ivory before. I might give it a go to see what happens, maybe.

i agree with you. some soaps makes your skin dry, well because of ingredients. but with dove, since it got moisturizers, it feels good on my skin. i also used ivory before since it is so mild also.

BUT Dove and Ivory also have body washes too:) Some of them also have added extra moisturizers. That way you know your skin won't dry out!!

I use both Dove bar soap and body wash and love them both!

hi im also an avid user of dove soap. it never make my skin dry. dove deodorants are what my teenagers use. we love dove:D

What's up pergammano? Good to hear from you too. I guess I just been using the wrong kinds of soap. I've never even heard of Yves Rocher. I prefer natural stuff anyway. I might go that route.

I find that your "one" word comment does not make any sense, and I think if you wish to earn here, it would be wise to read the guidelines, and make an effort to play within them, that way you will earn the respect of some of the senior members here (and I definitely am not one of them) as there are persons here with over 10,000 posts!) Ever since I switched to body wash, I've felt more clean too. It may be true, or just in my head.

My husband still buys bar of soaps because it doesn't affect his skin at all, lucky him.

I'm hearing a lot about Dove soap. I thought was soap, but I see that there's actually good soap on the market too.

dove soap is the best, it's lovely on the skin, it smells great and it keeps your skin feeling lovely and soft, plus it keeps you fry and fresh all day, they also do a range of hair care and skin care, lotions and shower gels, do you get dove soap where you are? sorry i don't know what country your in, but i do recommend it...if they don't sell it where you are i could send you some if you like....

I use both without preference for either one but I think I should test them out to see which one works best for me. I don't have dry skin issue naturally but I am on a medication that extremely dries my skin. I've been focusing on using lots of moisturisers but maybe eliminating soap could help out too. My lil sis uses dove soap only because she has dry skin to the point it gives her rashes.Maybe I should try it too.
