and WHY do we care that the first lady got a burger?!

Keep in mind I didn't WANT to see this lol. That's why I am ranting about it here. Those newspeople really think they're something special and I honestly think there should be about 90% fewer of them altogether and they should be paid less for their 'non-contribution' to society....

There are all KINDS of things happening that are bigger stories and awful things! I happen to think that there are people who are obsessed with the president and his family - and for what? What reason (if any?!) is there to be consumed with what any of them are doing? I'm actually horrified that ANYBODY would think there was anything special about anything they do - since obviously WE are not all reported on at all. Is this like a 'stalk the celebrity' type thing?

Right now we have a really bad forest fire in Santa Barbara, then there's the ever present economy issues and unemployment levels, a college student who was murdered, among other things.

That is a good point that you make. It is plain silly when you put it that way.

Nobody I know gives a rip either, but obviously there's some moron who does or they wouldn't report it, right? That's what I'm getting at here. People have got to stop being morons about what is 'news' and then the stupid news reporters wouldn't talk about it!

I've seen stuff about the governor too, and I care about the same amount about that as well. If they were part of my family or my friends maybe I would care, but you know some people go and get a burger on a daily basis. That ISN'T news. It's not even interesting.

It is that difficult getting news 24X7 and get the viewers to stick with the same channel, so they have to do some mad things. I think it is up to us that what kind of news we prefer, if we don't give them TRPs for such*foolish* news, then they would not show it in future.

Sure, ET or TMZ or something that plays silly fluff stuff for the whole hour it's on. I had THOUGHT that CNN actually reported things of value. Maybe CNN is going downhill along with the economy, freedom, and bravery?

I'm sure that the First Lady is just as down to earth as she was prior, but you know what, if we did not have this horrible media circus, they could continue their 'private life' (such as getting haircuts, shopping for school things, and getting lunch) without having anything ever SAID about it from any news reporter. Sheesh.

Oh no, mylot ATE my post! I had mentioned how much I love you for posting this lol. See what I mean though? I joke about it but I wouldn't want to be reported on like that either. EVER. You get a choice between being rich (and a little weird) or famous and I'd rather be rich and weird. I don't like the idea of the media in my home, or in my business. Unless they are ultimately paying ME for the rights to whatever they report piecemeal, per incident and per day, they don't have any right to do such a thing....

Where'd you go for your burgers? See, I'm more interested in you than Michelle Obama, at least you're a normal person and haven't been relegated to 'politically high status' by the media. Besides, they live in the white house now and probably have a chef or two, people who do EVERYTHING to take care of the house and day to day crap. They likely do not HAVE to do anything if they don't WANT to.

I guess CNN has been losing it slowly for awhile, I don't watch it at home. At home my hubby usually watches Fox News, and while I don't care much for THAT channel either, at least they do not report on 'Michelle Obama going out for a burger'. I mean they DO report on other things I don't give a rip about but I do try to just tune it out, Fox News doesn't repeat the same story 3 times in a row in less than 10 minutes. That's what really got me about this one.

I do this mostly if I'm on a treadmill and not running, do you want a treadmill? I'm sure my gym is about to get busy again, it's mid-May, everybody is starting to get ready for summer. I use my phone to mylot if I do it mobile, I don't always have a chunk of time to do it but it's nice to be able to do it if I'm waiting for something.

Thank for asking but no I do not want a treadmill. I pound some pretty serious weights and if I do too much cardio first my lifts go down and after spending close to 2 hours on weights for 2 body parts and abs I am too exhausted to do cardio also. Maybe once ot twice a week I will do alot of cardio and then just train one body part an abs but to be honest I never got too much aout of alot of cardio. Yea i got smaller and lost weight but I also had that flat look to me, i like the hard muscular veiny look better but I am always happy to see alot of people doing cardio, it means more room for me on the weight side.....lol

LOL!! I lift too but I'm a former distance runner, plus I'm a girl so I'm never going to look like body builders on steroids. Lucky for my hubby because he doesn't want his wife to look like a body builder...

I can't lift for 2 hours... an hour certainly depending on what I'm doing. I usually run after I lift, you burn more calories that way since your heart rate has already been up and you're sweating.

unfortunately is also burns up alot of muscle especially if your body fat is low. For bodybuilding you want your bodyfat about 11% if you are a female and 4% if you are a male. Also too much cardio makes my lifts not as heavy.

Well since I got protein shake mix because I have trouble getting enough protein, that's not surprising. My goal was just to get back in shape initially, and after that to get toned and stronger. I'm a lot stronger than I was even when I was running distance because I didn't lift or train back then, I just ran like 50 miles a week lol. The last time I checked I think my body fat may have been about 18, I was trying to get it down to about 10 but the best I've managed is about 15. I quit training regularly although I still go to the gym regularly because the company I was using was starting to harrass customers and not give us the sessions we had paid for.

I bet if they said Michelle was standing in line for a TRIPE sandwich we all would have been bashed as crackers who were racist.

LOL! I'm not a racist cracker but if someone wants to call me one, oh well.

Don't be surprised if they do. All of us who question anything, "Obama", are considered racist just because we question.
