in your area? My daughter needs pants. She is growing like a weed. But the few times I have gotten to one of our local stores the pickings have been pretty slim. I am trying to get things together a little at a time before school. I must just be timing it wrong.

I think that Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best days to shop. Most people are out on Friday through Sunday at them..then they might restock some on Monday. So that is why I figured it would be best to shop on those two days Tuesday or Wednesday.

Most people have free time on the weekends which is when they either shop at thrift stores or drop things off. The items that are dropped off don't normally make it onto the racks for a couple of days so I would think that Mondays or Tuesdays would be a good time to go.

I'm not really sure. I have only been to ours a few times but have not been there in a long time now. I am not sure when the best time, is to go there and find good deals and new items either.

Hello ersmommy. Kids grow fast and we parents have to buy them clothes every so often in a year. I still remember when I was a kid, I wore my elder brother's clothes that did not fit him any more. I had no complaints at all. Instead I liked them.

We have quite a few supermarkets, but there is one which is a lot cheaper than all the others. We consider it a thrift supermarket. I often visit it when I go downtown for shopping.

I don't have any particular time I go, I just go frequently. Whenever I have an extra $20 or more I go and just browse. The thing is that you can't go when you NEED something, you have to go and just browse, that's when the good stuff pops out. I usually find nice winter jackets for a great price.. but I find them in the summer. In the winter I find great looking shorts. That's how I do it, I don't buy what they need right now, I just buy what looks good and is a good price. Also, switch it up a bit. Find more thrift stores. I go to Sam's club in a town about 15 minutes away, and on my way out there I'll stop at that local Salvation Army. I have one closer to me that I'll go to another time. There are also Rescue Mission shops nearby I'll visit too.

New stuff gets put on the shelves throughout the day, so who knows when is the best time. I think it is really the luck of the draw. Sometimes I make out like a bandit and sometimes I walk out with hardly anything at all.
