Online Game Addict...

I rarely, if ever, play online games, but I must admit that sometimes I spend too much time playing Solitaire on the computer. Before I got a computer, I used to spend too much time playing Solitaire with real "live" cards. Maybe I should save my electricity and go back to playing with real cards?

I play lots of games online. But I know when to stop playing and pay attention to my family. My daughter that is 24, we play games on the xbox 360 together. Its a fun way to spend time with your child, interactive games are the best.
We play lots of board games too. We all do.

I know some people are way over the edge on playing games online. That it consumes them. How could you reject your family around you? Forget you have kids? What a shame that is.

My daughter is "addicted" to World of Warcraft". She plays it every day from the time she gets up to the time she goes to bed. She barely cleans,or cooks or anything. The house is always a mess. Clothes are piled up or left in the washer/dryer. Supper is slapped together and then dishes are left in the sink till the next day. She rarely even puts leftovers in the refrigerator. Too busy on the laptop!

I don't know that I have known anyone that has done that to that degree. I used to be into games, or other things on the computer, leaving myself dirty etc, and not doing much. Now that's changed with meeting my fiance. I have an uncle who is always on the computer but he also babysits my sister's kids. I think if anything like that happened and I could helpt he person, I definitely would.

Nope I'm not addicted to any online games. I really don't have time for them. I'd rather spend my little bit of free time trying to find ways to make extra money. Enjoy your games.

I can't for the life of me understand how someone can ignore their children, pets or other family for a stupid game. I think it underlines how our society has lost perspective and focus over the past two decades as children raised themselves and parents split when things got too tough or they weren't being personally fulfilled.

No, I've never been addicted to a game. They're fun but they're basically just a way to pass time and there's so much more to do.

I do spend more time on mylot than I should but it is not an addiction. I had a friend who was so addicted to computer games that she had to get a part time job to get her out of the house. Then when she returned in the afternoons she allowed herself 2 hours at the game and then went to do her housework and cook dinner before her husband came home. This really saved her as she was spending all day and half the night just online doing computer games. she's still keeping to this routine and it is now going on a bout five years. Oh, they wanted her full time at her work and she got a promotion so this helped her too.

It is very easy to get addicted to whatever you are doing on your computer, I was so very addicted to mylot but now I have other social unpaid sites that I go to, to chat with friends that I have made on mylot, I consider myself additcted to the computer but I have to do other things round the house and look after my hubby like cooking, cleaning and the rest, I can't sit and stink all day so I do have my baths, I love my baths, its the only time I have to pamper myself, so when everything is done and I know I won't get disturb I am on my computer till the wee hours of the morning. Am I addicted?

I do not play on-line video games. I have not done that in a while. but like anything ealse gameing can become additive. my people would simply reather spend there time in a fanstry world and not face the problems of reality. like reading or rolepling games it is easy for anyone to fall into ploblems like addciton and the desire to escape realiy. we all want to do that but sometimes some indivaiduals can just become imursed in it becase they feel that there is nothing in the real work left to offer them. they are in a confort zone while in the realm of the game. there that person is a somebody there but consider him or hersefl a nobody in the real world.

I am lucky in that yes I do get addicted to games and stuff online but my interest span for things like that is very short and so I tend to become bored very quickly!!! I guess to some degree my addiction to the computer in general has never died and sometimes I feel that I spend more time on it than with anyone else, I do try not to come on the computer until I have done certain things in a day and that works but then I will have a relapse and be on it all day! I have a few games that I was really addicted too but the interest has gone with them now and I just go on them every so often.
