Does it bother you when other people wear strong perfume or after shave?

I think its ok if it smells good but some people over do it. Sometimes I want to ask did you spill the bottle? It does take my breath away when I get too close and its too strong of a smell.

Does it bothers me if some people wear perfumes or after shave,
not at all especially if the scent is pleasant to the nose. But
what I don't like is that sometimes some people overdo it by
applying too much perfume. Too much scents can make my head
spinning and I really don't like that. Moderate using of perfume
is fine. The worst things might happen if you have spray too much
perfume then the bees and other insect will start following you.
You could be mistaken as flowers...just kidding.

Yes, I am allergic to most perfumes, sprays and after shave, and people think that it is great to wear that stuff that people will love the way they smell, but it just makes me want to get as far away from them as humanly possible. If people are going to put stuff like that on, they should do it in an open room and only put one spray or two on.

Yes it will really bother me as I have sinusitis.Every time I smell something not so nice, I started to sneeze like forever.It really irritates my nose, and hopefully the one wearing that strong perfume will possibly notice my claims.

I have allergies too and yes...it does bother me. My eyes water up and nose itches and runs etc. If it is put on lightly...it's ok but so many people just smother the stuff on. It's overbearing with or without allergies. The very worst is patchouli oil. I actually like the smell of patchouli in candles and incense but any oil that potent...you need just a drop and no one who wears it does just a drop.

I work in healthcare and have seen co workers sent home (no pun intended) to shower just for that reason.

There is an acutal medical condition that causes people to get very ill from breathing chemical smells. They are hyper sensitive to the tiniest amounts of chemicals, whether it is perfume or cleaning solutions or even new furniture or cars.
I only wear perfume when going out on the town. There really is no reason to wear perfume except to when out for fun. Afterall...you can lightly scent yourself with shower gel...spritzes...and above all deodorant while at work. Better yet, just shower! lol

Yes sometimes because I have a very sensitive nose. I don't like to smell strong odored perfumes.

I wear a medium scented perfume.

I don't think I have allergies or anything, but it still bothers me when people wear too much cologne. It can make me sneeze and/or give me a headache. I suppose those can be allergic reactions, but it's nothing severe or anything like that. I've seen a lady spray her cologne while she was on the bus one time. To me, that was REALLY rude! It's bad enough that it didn't smell good and was strong, but then to spray it while riding the bus?? That was just wrong!

a good discussion. I have asthma problem and stron/pungent odors really bother my lungs and respiratory system.

I do have a lot of people wearing strong perfumes (and after shaves) at my workplace. Even if i don't prefer to inhale the odor it pierces into my nostrils causing irritation and shortness of breath:(

But when i get used to it i do sniffing and enjoy the odor;)

I think 'excess of everything is bad'. Like-wise wearing strong permufes, deodorants, after-shave lotions and other such things could cause irritation to others. I also feel bad if someone wears heavy perfumes and deodrants. Instead of getting attracted towards such persons, one feels distracted and becomes judgemental about such persons. I donot think if someone is wearing perfume, more people would like to talk to him/her. People use such beauty products in moderation so that others may not feel unnecessarily irritated.
