Does it bother you when other people wear strong perfume or after shave?

Hi Subha, the headaches from strong smells seem common. But there is no rule except in hospitals and medical places about them, so I guess like you said, the best way is to try to keep away from those who wear it too strong.

Oh, I hate those people that are wearing so heavy strong perfumes. Those are not friendly to the people like me who are allergic to the strong arom it has. I alwasy get headaces with strong perfumes. So I would like to tell them to show some decensy to other people around them.

Hi Anetta, I agree! Perhaps those who wear too much of a strong scent are not aware of the misery it can cause others. Although, it has by now been pretty widely publicised. Some like to do just as they wish without regard for others, and that is a selfish thing in my opinion. Thank you for responding.

That's a good way to put it: wearing the entire bottle. And that is exactly how strong it smells sometimes. It is a wonder that it doesn't bother the one wearing it when it makes those around them miserable! I appreciate your input:)

Hello: ) I haven't smelled the Hugo line, but I always have asthmatic reactions so I hate it when those people at the mall stores spritz you the minute you walk in the door, trying to sell a certain brand. I'm glad you're able to enjoy wearing your subtle perfumes. I do kind of miss that. Have a great day:)

Ack! A burning nose is bad enought, but migraines are terribly painful. I wonder if others even know how their strong perfumes effect the rest of us?? And if they did, would they stop wearing so much? Thank you for responding:)

Like you, I cannot wear perfume any more. Closed in places where so many do wear them can feel quite over-powering. My youngest daughter has finally realized that I am serious when I ask her not to wear her pachoulie scent around me. It triggers an asthma attack! Thank you for sharing your views:)

Yes, polish and especially polish remover can be very strong. I wish people would be more considerate in closed up places, too, where the scents are even more pungent. Thank you for sharing your input:D

Hi Ann...this seems to be quite a wide-spread problem, strong scents bothering many. I do know some medical places now have signs warning against it due to the allergic allergies many have to perfumes and such.

This has always surprised me...why do those wearing the scents seem not to be bothered by them? And yes, a small place like an elevator really makes that sort of thing worse. Thank you for sharing your experiences:)
