well, some people may miss him more than I will, and he just got that new show too, but he didn't wake up today, may be related to a hard landing his plane too the other day here's the story http://www.baynews9.com/content/36/2009/6/28/490127.html

I heard about him passeing this weekend. I also heard about the fact that he was on a flight that had to make an emergencey landing. but as of today I had heard that he had only dided of heart deisise. I find it intersting that he was the same age as Michical Jackson.

I'm sorry to say that I wasn't familiar with Billy May's career at all. I did read the article you provided though and he certainly appears to have been a bit of a livewire! I wonder if he had a severe concussion that wasn't picked up on? June has become quite a macabre month with all these celebrity deaths and it's all so sad.

I've been annoyed by him for years, but I have to say that some of the stuff he pitched really worked. Yeah, strange month here, sad, very sad.

Yeah. I heard about this in another discussion. It is sad that his life ended short. There has been quite a few deaths here recently. It is so scary. You just never know when it will be our time to go.

yeah, I may not have liked him, but I sure wouldn't have expected him to go so soon, they say only the good die young, so, I guess he was better than I expected, since I found him so personally annoying!

Hmmm... and he was yelling about CLR just last night on my TV. Oh well, c'est la vie... (or not).

I just got done reading this online and came here and saw your discussion. Yeh, I was really floored by this. Unfortunately, I won't miss him much as I use to Mute the TV when his commercial came on. I think what got to me most is all the deaths happening within the last month or two. Someone a few days ago was saying how things come in Three's...well, we're well into the second set of three's already. Freaky. I feel bad for his family as I would think this is a big shock to them all and so sudden. One thing I can say though, everyone knew who he was whether you liked him or not.

He should have gone to the Emergency room or at least the Drs. They might have found something and saved him.

well, he probably didn't think there was anything wrong, and it may not be related to the plane, but I pity U.S. Airways if it does...

My husband was just telling me this. I feel very badly for his wife. It's scary that your husband can be talking to you before he goes to bed and then doesn't wake up. He was also 50. Glad I'm 51. If I was 49 I'd be getting paranoid by now.

I'm 55, but at least I haven't had anything fall on my head lately... I too feel badly for his family, wonder what the autopsy will tell...

It's really shocking. Especialy right after Farrah and Micheal passed away, too.

it is a shock, actually more so than any of the other deaths this week, because he wasn't known to be ill in any way, unlike the others (Michael less so but still he had problems.)

Yes, someone else on here said that, too. I commented on that. Young, like MJ, but they suspect it may be possibly due to a hard landing where he got hit in the head. Very sad, very sad.

Hi Elic, That is so sad what with all these daeaths, it is a sad week, but to be honest, I have never heard of him but he was a household name where you are. Tamara

I'm actually relieved--there won't be any more of those obnoxious infomercials that he yelled his way through. God forgive me for saying this, but maybe now my ears can actually heal from what they were subjected to. My prayers are with his family, however. I may not have liked the guy, but he did leave behind a wife and kids, and losing someone you love is one of the hardest things to go through.

I agree he was obnoxious. and my bleeding ears might also heal, if they stop running his old commercials
