my neighbor's grandaughter didn't know about hanging out clothes.   

I use to hang out everything even tho i had a dryer. I loved the way they smelled. I got where i wasn't able to drag them out of the house to hang them out much & then one of my posts broke so i just quit. There are things i don't put in the dryer so i just hang them on a hanger & let them dry. U CRAZY THING U DON'T WEAR THAT BIG OF A SIZE ANYWAY,when u lose all that weight u can buy u some bikins & hang them out.

My grandmother used to have one of those outdoor clothes dryers, the kind you could turn and fill. I remember as a little kid helping her pin up all the laundry using wooden clothes pins. Those were the days!

That is true but it just surprized me that she had never seen anyone doing that. Too many things have become extinct.

I FEEL THE SAME WAY & i think it is very sad for us & our young people.

That's why i hung mine out to, trying to save. I do love children but bet if mine had done that they would have had their britches warmed up.

My dad was a city boy, and he thought milk came from horses--because when he was a child the milk wagon would come around and it was pulled by a horse. Even seventy years ago children could be fooled or mislead. I like that he tells stories on himself.

I loved your anser about the chickens. U gave me a good chuckle. I BET U ARE RIGHT . My son has to go thurs. for one more test. he carried the monitor back today he had to wear for 24hrs. & will find out the result on that thurs. to. THANKS FOR ASKING. HUGS TO U.

You bring back a lot of memories by mentioning horse drawn milk wagons as that is how my grandfather began his career in the milk industry. He was a milkman who started with horse adn wagon. I wish my kids could see that. At least my kids do see me hang clothes out. They also know eggs come from chickens,pork comes from pigs, and that chickens have heads and feet. Wow they are smart!

GOOD FOR YOU, Don't they smell good when u hang them out. U are right about saving power. I think they pull alot of electricity. I always took pride in seeing then hung out when i could still hang out. U are smart to do in more ways than one. Thanks for responding.

They sure do. It would do them all good if they had to do everything the hard way for awhile. They might appreciate how good they have it nowadays.
