Why does racism exist mostly in countries which the whites are a majority?

I actually like the responses your discussion has generated so far. I guess by this you would have realised that it was a mistake or misconception on your part to believe as you do.

The level of racism which too place in Uganda led to one black group committing genocide against the other. There are blacks in countries such as England and the US who fight among themselves trying I guess to establish themselves as being at the top of the food chain.

There is racism everywhere and among all peoples. It is a low down dirty practice carried out by those among us, who are too limited in knowledge to accept the difference in and beauty in all humans.

Its actually very sad that in recent days the cases of Racist Attacks and Racism have increased very much.
I got a thought in mind which i would like to share.
Why is it that racist attacks are only on so called "Blacks" and why not the other way round? Ever thought of it?

actually that is not really correct, when there is a majority of a certain race then there is a high chance that they will practice racism towards to minority. take africa for instance, the white people are the minority, a case in point is what is happening and has happened in zimbabwe, what with the land grabbing and forcing the people off the farms simply because they were not black. it happens all over the place where the natives of that place feel a certain way towards what they regard as interlopers. sad but true, racism is learnt as is hate, and so long as someone is raised a certain way they will think that it is okay to act like that because they have been taught that. i do not blame these people, they do not know any better. i come from a place that has this attitude, and my multiracial friends were frowned upon, i did not care about that because i have been raised better than that.

You have got it all wrong it is not COUNTRIES who are RACIST but PEOPLE and you will need to understand how this happens and I will give you a fast lesson.

These Countries you have picked out are mostly MULTI cultured Countries meaning they have allowed people from many Countries and Cultures to come and live in their Country.

NOW this is where the problem is, Many of these people do not leave behind them their hates and dislikes and they bring than into their NEW so said home, the new Country.

They do not adjust to the new Country but continue with their hates of other people.
When they were back home in the old Country they fought over the Border but in the new Country they fight in the Street.

Now you can see this in most Countries now The CULTURAL GANGS who want to be BOSS of the street, they want to rule.

We have had this thing in the last few weeks in Australia with the bashings of Indian Students, BUT the INDIAN PRESS were to LAZY to come here and get the true story and they blamed Australia for being RACIST.

BAD BAD BAD INDIAN press, you are LAZY get off you B*M and get the TRUE STORY.

It is CULTUAL FIGHTS the same ones that have been gong on for 1000's of years.

But now because its easy to blame it on RASISM they all do, May be look at it closer its the old FIGHT from the OLD COUNTRY.

When I say "YOU" I speak of those people who have come to a new land and also brought their hates with them. They have no idea how to live in peace with peoples of many Cultures.

Just last weekend I was in an Asian Quarter in Melbourne, I ate, drank, shared stories, did business, and enjoyed the company of many Asians from many Countries, I did not nor did I hear anything RASIST at any time, By the way I was most of the time the only so said WHITE MAN there.

So much for RASISM in Australia, We do not have it, but we do have people who hate, no different than any other Country, and Like many Countries we don't like it nor will we tolerate it.

I think that is because they feel superior to other races. In most countries I don't think it's racism, it's one class over the other class, I don't know if it's called classism or not. Right now take a look at Congress, they have the best health insurance and they don't want the American voters that pay for theirs to have insurance that they can afford.

The reason Cuba does not have racism, is because it is isolated and oppressed. When the entire population is under an oppressive government, people don't have time to be racist.

However you are incorrect about their not being racism in Turkey and Sudan and so on. Turkey was very oppressive against it's neighboring countries, when it was subject to their rule. Further, Sudan's Durfor was a classic case of not just racism, but genocide.

Finely, in Asia, the Japanese oppressed ethnic Chinese prior to WW2, and ethnic Chinese were oppressed in Vietnam and southeast Asia. In fact Chinese citizens as late as the 1970s could be sold as slaves in southeast Asia.

Further, the middle east had a well known slave trade in white Europeans.

Racism is actually a universal problem. It has existed in nearly every country. The only difference is that since America is the the worlds superpower, our faults are scrutinized more closely than anyone elses.

Primarily, whenever man has unobstructed control over other men, they will use that power, whether it is religious oppression, or racist oppression. The only reason racism has died down in other parts of the world, is because many of those nations no longer have the ability to oppress others.

I would think the reason there is racism in countries where the majority is white is because the minority is bigoted towards whites and the minority leaders try to keep it that way. Instead of telling their people they can be as successful as the whites, they tell them it isn't fair that the white have and they don't have. There would be less racism if the minority leaders stopped trying to pit the minorities against the majorities.
