Today is the 4th of July and as usual I am doing nothing. I may walk up and see the fireworks later. I dont do too much on the 4th. I used to go to parties, and cookouts but It was always the same. I dont drink so I would watch everyone else get smashed by 6pm. When It was time to go watch the fireworks no one could go because they were drunk. I used to get mad. As I got older and had my own kids, I changed the tradition. We dont go too far because of the drunk drivers and such. I wanted to go to the beach but I dont have a car. Not having a vehicle stinks. So my plans for today are to give the dogs a bath, make a nice dinner for my family and maybe go take a walk up and see the fireworks. And You?....

Well, as I was growing up, my family and I would always go to this park in Long Beach, California and celebrate the 4th there with my father's family. Afterwards - at home - we'd watch fireworks from our street and every once in a while, we'd actually go to a show. Now that I moved and live kinda far from my family, it has been spent differently every year since the move. This year, I spent it with friends at their house. We had hot dogs and played with their Wii and it was a fun day. I got home just before it got dark and some neighbors have been setting off fireworks. I was watching them for a few minutes. I think they didn't like that because they threw one kind of in my direction. I sure didn't appreciate that! If they don't want other people watching them, then they shouldn't light them on a busy street!

LOL Nice idea, but unfortunately, I don't know where they live. They could live in any of the many complexes in the area. My guess is one of three that are right by me, including the one I live in. Oh well! Besides, what they did didn't make me leave. I still stuck around for a little bit after they threw the one in my direction. LOL I only went back inside once I felt satisfied enough with as many fireworks that I saw.

We had a big cook out and family over.
then we can watch the fire works from my back yard where they have them at the casino behind me.
Or we can go to the front yard and the neighbor do the fireworks and we can see some of the fire works from the strip.

I had to work today but got home about 530pm. Made a bbq with my kids then went in the pool. Then we watched a movie. Around 930 we went out front to watch some of the neighbors fireworks and then my daughter lit ours. Nothing much just the stuff that stays on the ground with showers. Happy 4th everyone!

Fireworks here were last night and while I was going to go the traffic was so horrid would have had to walk a mile from the car to see them alone at night. Decided to just go home and pass for this year. Just home alone today, son gone to friends, don't know what the rest of my family is doing but catching up on things here.

I don't think that we are really doing anything. We have fireworks tonight, but our kids are with their other parents so I don't know if me and my husband will do it alone or not. I hope he will go.

There have been some years where we have chosen not to do anything. This year was going to be one of those years, but my sister invited us over to her house(about an hour away) for dinner and fireworks afterward. My husband is working today on his regular schedule(Tues-Sat), but we're hoping he will get off work early. We have to run some errands and stop by my brother-in-law's house on the way. If he got off early, it would help us get to the dinner early/at least on time!!! Hope you enjoy your weekend!
