it's nice to be needed.

wow thats great my lady hmmm before I used to think that way too I mean that was my goal everyday at least help somebody each day or even make them smile.... but looks to me everything seems to be very hectic well I have helped my sister everyday and some of my friends on their problems but it would be nice if I could at least help different person each day .... what you did my lady would surely be remembered... got to do that goal again ....

yes it is but if it is every day and all the time then it gets to be a bit montonous. i dont mind helping but if my family gets ignored because of it, then its not so good.

I also like the feeling of being needed. You know, when someone need you, you will feel that you are important, you could do others a favor and help them get over from the difficulties. For me, when someone ask me the road on the street, I am always willing to help and take them to the place they want to go. And when some people need me to help them with something, no matter big or small, I would like to give them a hand. That really makes me very happy.

I do good deeds ever so often. My husband and I hardly have the time to do it anymore with working so much, seven days a week. I have done it before though and still do it occasionally.

for today, i haven't done any good deeds cause i just stayed home all day, wash my clothes and done my research.
last week i think was my biggest accomplishment/deed that i had done for someone. know what it is? i had able to offer a job opportunity to a relative to work abroad without even worrying of finding a nice employer/company. the job was intended for me but i declined it then i recommend my aunt instead. i am still attending college that is why i declined the offer. if only the offer came early before i had enrolled then i would probably grab the offer.
now my aunt is just waiting for her visa and she'll soon be working in Scotland. wish her luck.

Being needed is a great feeling.

I compare it to a welcome. We do thanks for people and when we do it we usually receive a "thank you" for the assistance. But when an individual replies with a "Your Welcome" you truly feel a accomplishment.

I am Asian, we poor tea for people before we poor ourselves. When the person is being serves they reply with a thank you; sometimes with a verbal way or a body language or signal way. But it never comes with a your welcome.

You welcomes may not be necessary but when said towards your assistances or actions it does feel just as good as a needed feeling.

I haven't done a "good dead" so to say in the last couple of weeks. I voluntarily tutor for a local organization, but they have run into some financial troubles and have shut down the tutoring for the summer. I haven't tutored since the beginning of May. I hope that the organization gets back on their feet soon because I was truly fulfilled by helping these local kids who have had such a rough path and just need someone to be patient and understanding with them.
With that said, I think that I am generally a good person, so as long as I don't do anything intentionally "BAD" today, that I am doing good.:)

erm sometimes if someone too depend on you will make u feel troublesome
but the one u met is nice and when u helped her u will really feel something satisfied
i like to help people also but limit to the people that worth me to help them

I understand where you are coming from. It is good to be needed and to do a good deed for someone. It makes the rest of the day a great day for you and the person you did the deed for. Since I have been out of work I feel useless, I sit here day in and day out doing nothing.

I am happy to hear such things as the druggist opening the pharmacy to help someone. You rarely hear those things anymore. I live in a small town but I doubt if I could get one to open a pharmacy for me. You guys are blessed.

I remember living in a small town .. we had a small town drug store too. If we had a prescription and he was closed.. he would come open up and fill it if we needed it right then. He even delivered it on the way back home one day.. because he had to go by our house to go home. Now with the big 24 hour drugstores the small town pharmacist is about extinct.
