The difference you mention makes no difference to smilies, and copy/pasting so why would it be any different for rating?

i've seen a few of those also. i think if you don't respond to a discussion, you should NOT be able to add tags.

I think more emphasis should be put on tags. They are important for the searchability of your discussion but nobody seems to interest and instead they tag like twits. How hard can it be to just write -computers- when the discussion goes about computers? You help yourself and others by doing so, not by writing: diamania is a complete tard... ok I am I know but hey if I know I dont need to be reminded.

Its time for a crap slap to put an end to the tag nag.

i have found some that are worse than that and i'm not going to just sit by and ignore this stuff any more.

Put 5 or more of your own tags - that way the Trolls can't win. Swot I do these days. (Whenever I tag someone else's discussion, 'tis always to add info, not insults)

i've been a cranky little reporter this morning. that just makes my blood boil...

What is truly so discouraging, is that since much of this site is run by automation, the banning should happen way faster on blatant abusers. It often takes upwards of two days, even on weekdays. It should be set up so that a ban can be executed faster than a new account creation.

i'm not sure what the limit on tags is. next discussion i will count them:) rally, it keeps asking you to tag? if i use a tag i never get asked again in that discussion.

usually I only get asked to tag once but every so often for some reason it will ask me over and over again, maybe if I use certain characters in the tag? not sure, but it IS very annoying!

Plunk is right, 5 is the limit. So lots of people fill in the tags to keep the creeps out.

but only 5are visibile.

I find that if there were 5 tags there, but you put one in that's lower alphabetically, it will displace one of the 5 that was already there. Also a mature content tag will do that.

yup, i get asked over and over no matter what i do. But there are also a lot of other glitches on my profile that I cannot address and myLot has not helped me address. Been that way since I started. Might be a browser situation too, but they never even said that either. Like one example...not all my sorties load. Also, I can't upload a picture here in your discussion if I wanted to. If I try, it goes to the main 'All Photos" section of the site. Too bad too, cuz I have tons of relevant photos i could have shared in discussions. Plus it would help me earn. But life is not fair. Especially here.
And I there are other glitches too..oh...also notifiers..the list is long.

that sucks plunk. the only glitch i have to deal with right now is sometimes when i try to use a smiley, i have to logout and back in because i get the must have 200 posts warning.

sky, to get your smilies back, try this:

- log out of myLot
- go to internet options (find the temporary internet files) can't remember drop down..
- delete files
- delete cookies
- hit settings
- hit view (this will let you view stragglers that often don't get deleted in the first process)
- highlight and delete stragglers if there are any
- log back in to myLot

this process sometimes helps small glitches here

Yeah I reported that one, but it will most likely be there until tomorrow.

i love it here and i'm not going to let a very SICK person or people ruin it. i have been ignoring a lot of what's been going on lately but someone has managed to cross a line and i WILL report these tags and any more abusive tags that i can find.

yep, that's what set me off. i've found a few others aimed a particular member that i have reported. i'll pm you right now.

Yes, it is up to us as myLotters to report anything we see as offensive, etc.
Unfortunately, as long as sites like myLot exist, there will be "bad apples" trying to spoil it for the whole bunch. I just hope that they don't spoil things too bad.
