Were you part of a clique in high school?

There most definitely was cliques in my high school, but I wasn't in any of them. The mind of person that I was didn't fit in with any of the cliques. I was friends with almost everyone. I had friends that were jocks and brains and bandies and the list goes on and on.
Our school was different in a sense because we had magnet program for kids that were very intelligent so we had many people in our high school that were out of district and this made the clique situation even more unique. For the most part I would say that these people were their own clique, but they also intermingled with the others to a certain degree.
For me though, it made the most sense to not just stick with one certain group of people and to be friends with all of the people who were on a similar wavelength with me.

I absolutely loved high school and love going back there at times. I can remember who my friends were and who i hung out with and talked to of course.

In every high school you you have the cliques and the different types of groups there were. In the morning i hung out with the preppy pot head kids and i loved my friends and we had a lot of fun in high school. During lunch i sat at a table with three freinds of mine and we are all still friends but don't talk or see each other as much as we did in high school. After school i just got in my car and drove off as i drove a mustang in high school and thought i was a pretty cool kid in high school and did all the car club things on a Thursday night and that was a lot of fun of course and the cool thing was i had an older brother and his friends were mine friends and we all got a long and hung out together.

When I was in high school, I tried to be friendly towards everyone. I was not part of the traditional 'clique' scene, so I guess if I was part of a group, it was the 'everyone else' one.

I did have my little group of friends, never thought of it as a clique. I was just so introverted, I was glad to have friends at all.

lol i just graduated. yes there cliques....but there are so many cliques i couldnt keep track. me i wasnt in one tho... or i was in a few idk n idc lol

I didn't have friends in high school. Everyone made fun of me and part of it was probably my fault, as I didn't develop a sense of humor till later in life. I'm glad those days are gone.

I went to high school in north western part of Tennessee. Our high school was mainly focused on sports and agriculture. We definately still had our fair share of cliques. We had the jocks, farm boys, the cheerleaders and very "preppy" girls, artsy or alternative, and possibly another clique that was something all together.
I was not "unpopular" or "popular." I dated a football player who was also one of the team captains. That made me particularly "accepted" among the jocks and preps, but not actually a member. I retained all of my friends which basically included people from all social cliques. I did have a little more social pressure to look nice and attend events even if it wasn't a formal pressure so to speak. High school was fun over all. I think we can all look back and smile on the experiences and also look forward to reliving them over somewhat with our own children.

I didn't really fit anywhere... I guess that I was a bit of most of those groups that you mentioned. I mostly hung around with the invisible kids, or the ones that people thought were too weird and were afraid to hang out with... When actuality, all most of them ever had done to "get labeled" was to stand up for themselves or someone in their family. I was labeled a loser, a w]-[0r3, a freak, trash... and what did I do? I always stood my ground, helped people out (even when I did NOT like them), I didn't judge people on heresay, I had a 3.0 GPA, dumped every guy that tried to put their hands on my body until I graduated high school, and I LOVED to write. Oh, and I got labeled a pothead too even though I've never lit up in my life. Amazing that people didn't have better things to do with their lives than label others and get joy from their misery.

Most of my classmates, to this day, have barely left the county or state. Myself.. I've roamed half the country, as I please, tried and discovered many different types of jobs and culture here. A loser I may be, but at least I'm an enlightened one.

hey again lol:) well its kinda odd but i belonged to a couple till i found myself and didnt care,,when i was a freshman i was a serious dork/geek and hated everything about myself and little friends,when i was a Sohphmore i belonged to i hate everyone club lol..when i was a junior i was a pothead until mid senior year i didnt care about anything..i found myself and knew who my real friends were and ditched all the fakes..and just worked,paid bills on my apt etc and graduated..:)

Well, I was part of huge clique of 15 guys and was the de juro leader of the clique.We were bunch of fun loving and rebellious kids in block, but always studious and we had our ways.There were times we were rash to teachers, but that were to the ones who misbehaved with us.Most of the teachers liked us but we rebelled against strict rules.Even after 10 years, we are all in touch though we are now in different parts of the world.I just love that period.Thanks!
